HOMILÍA
Nos encontramos celebrando, con alegría, el segundo domingo de Pascua; también conocido como domingo de la Divina Misericordia. El gozo que nos trae el tiempo pascual está unido al perdón que Dios nos ofrece, a la misericordia que tanto podemos necesitar en muchos momentos de nuestra vida. Misericordia que recibimos y que estamos llamados también a ofrecer a los demás. No dejemos nunca de poner el corazón en la miseria, en la pobreza, en el dolor de nuestros hermanos. Eso es lo que significa, precisamente, la palabra misericordia.
La primera lectura la hemos tomado del libro de los Hechos de los Apóstoles. Nos ha contado cuáles eran las cuatro cualidades que distinguían a las primeras comunidades cristianas: perseveraban en la enseñanza de los apóstoles, en la común unión, en la fracción del pan (que es lo mismo que decir en la eucaristía) y en las oraciones. Hoy, nosotros, somos sus continuadores y, por eso, debemos asumir y vivir en plenitud, las cualidades que a ellos les caracterizaban.
La segunda lectura, de la primera carta de Pedro, nos ha hablado cómo la Resurrección de Jesús, nos ha regenerado para una esperanza vida, para una herencia incorruptible y para una salvación que un día ha de manifestarse. Vivamos con intensidad, durante este tiempo pascual, la resurrección de Jesús. En ella se apoya nuestra fe y nuestra vivencia cristiana. Ella es la que da sentido a nuestra vida de creyentes en Jesús.
El relato del evangelio de Juan nos ha recordado dos apariciones del Resucitado. En la primera no estaba el apóstol Tomás que se niega a creer lo que los demás le aseguran. En la segunda, Tomás sabrá postrarse a los pies del Maestro y pronunciar esas palabras que tantas veces, todos, hemos confesado: “Señor mío y Dios mío”. Dichosos nosotros que, sin ver a Jesús, estamos creyendo en él y le seguimos.
