HOMILÍA
La Palabra de Dios escuchada, ha de ser meditada, ha de ser llevada a la oración y nos ha de impulsar al compromiso. Bueno sería que, a lo largo de la semana, tuviéramos tiempo para volver a ella. Como también sería bueno que la misa diaria, en la que también se proclama esa misma Palabra de Dios, pudiera contar con nuestra presencia. Dios es nuestro Padre, no solo los domingos y los días de fiesta, sino también todos y cada uno de los días de la semana. Hagamos el propósito de encontrarnos, habitualmente, en la celebración eucarística.
La primera lectura la hemos tomado del libro de Isaías. Sus primeras palabras han sido estas: “Parte tu pan con el hambriento, hospeda a los pobres sin techo, cubre a quien ves desnudo y no te desentiendas de los tuyos”. Todo un programa de vida en el que, Manos Unidas, Campaña contra el Hambre, nos insistirá de una forma especial el próximo domingo, en el que se realizará la Colecta de la Campaña contra el Hambre en el Mundo. Abramos nuestros ojos a la pobreza de los que están cerca y de los que están lejos.
La segunda lectura, de San Pablo a los Corintios, nos ha hablado de la propia experiencia del apóstol que, a la hora de anunciar el evangelio, no lo hacía desde el orgullo de quien todo lo sabe, sino desde la humildad y sencillez de quien se reconoce débil y limitado. Sus palabras vienen avaladas por el Espíritu que le ilumina. Los éxitos en la evangelización no son tanto obra suya, sino de Aquel que le anima, le da fuerzas y le inspira lo que tiene que decir y hacer.
El relato del evangelio de Lucas nos ha recordado dos cosas que, los cristianos de todos los tiempos, hemos de ser: Sal, que dé sabor a la existencia humana y Luz que ilumine la vida de aquellos con los que convivimos. Preguntémonos si sabemos ser sal y luz allí donde estamos.
