A mediados de año recordamos el terremoto sufrido por los habitantes de LORCA y la hambruna padecida por SOMALIA. A estas dos situaciones se destinaron 1.905 euros, que se enviaron a través de CARITAS DIOCESANA DE JACA.
A lo largo del año han seguido llegando, y marchándose seguidamente muchos transeúntes, como todos hemos podido ver, personas sin domicilio fijo, marginados sociales, que constituyen una asignatura pendiente de resolver por la sociedad española. CARITAS colabora en los gastos de manutención de estas personas con la COMARCA DEL ALTO GALLEGO con 2.510 euros.
El mayor esfuerzo realizado por CARITAS en este 2011 ha sido la ATENCION SOCIAL a convecinos nuestros.
Durante el año se ha acogido y atendido a las peticiones de ayuda de vecinos de Sabiñánigo en la Secretaría de CARITAS por un equipo de voluntarios que se ocupan de la ATENCION SOCIAL y del REPARTO DE ALIMENTOS. Se han atendido 547 peticiones de familias a las que se han destinado 10.582 euros.
Estas ayudas a familias han sido complementadas con la distribución por parte de CARITAS de aproximadamente 7.000 kilos de alimentos procedentes de excedentes alimentarios de la UNION EUROPEA, mas los alimentos procedentes de la campaña de SAN BLAS.
Ni que decir tiene que la comunidad cristiana, a través de CARITAS, proporciona estas ayudas (sin hacer discriminación alguna) a toda persona necesitada de Sabiñánigo, a las que consideramos, por nuestra condición de católicos, como hijos de Dios y hermanos nuestros.
