HOMILÍA
Hemos escuchado las lecturas correspondientes al segundo domingo de Pascua. Un domingo que sigue gritando al mundo la gran noticia: Jesús ha resucitado, Jesús vive. Un domingo que nos muestra los inicios de una comunidad cristiana que recuerda las apariciones de Jesús, sus últimas palabras. Un domingo que nos habla de los cincuenta días del tiempo pascual en el que los cristianos celebraremos con gozo al Jesús vencedor del pecado, del mal y de la muerte y del compromiso que estamos llamados a adquirir: la fe en el Resucitado nos impulsa a vivir la fe con alegría y a sembrarla a nuestro alrededor.
La primera lectura la hemos tomado del libro de los Hechos de los Apóstoles, el libro de cabecera de este tiempo pascual. En unas breves líneas nos ha descrito las características principales que distinguían a los primeros cristianos: la primera es que vivían unidos y lo compartían todo. La segunda es que celebraban la fracción del pan que era el nombre que daban a la Eucaristía, a la Misa. La tercera es que compartían mesa y mantel y que la alegría era su plato principal. Y la cuarta es que el Señor los bendecía con nuevos miembros que, día a día, se iban incorporando al grupo.
Nosotros somos hoy los herederos de aquellos primeros cristianos. Y, como ellos, estamos llamados a vivir unidos y a compartir lo que somos y lo que tenemos con todos. Que la eucaristía dominical ha de ser tenida, no tanto como una obligación penosa que hay que cumplir, sino como un encuentro gozoso que esperamos con ansiedad durante la semana; que la disfrutemos mientras estamos juntos y que el encuentro con Jesús, en ella, nos lleve a estrechar los lazos de amor y de amistad entre nosotros al volver a nuestra vida cotidiana. ¡Ojalá que nuestra actuación y nuestro modo de comportarnos anime a muchos a buscar y a encontrarse con Jesús!
El relato del evangelio ha tenido dos partes: la primera de ellas, ha consistido en una aparición de Jesús a los suyos a los que saluda con el signo de la paz y a los que les da el poder para reconciliar a los hombres, para perdonar. La segunda, es un encuentro del mismo Jesús con Tomás, el apóstol que, no habiendo estado la vez anterior, no se cree lo que le cuentan los demás. Tomás va a hincarse de rodillas y va a reconocer, por fin, que la resurrección del maestro es una realidad. Él necesitaba ver y tocar para creer. Como, quizás, muchos hoy en nuestro mundo. Para ellos van, pues, las palabras de Jesús: “Dichosos los que crean sin haber visto.” Recordemos, a este respecto, lo escuchado en la segunda lectura: “No habéis visto a Jesús y le amáis; no lo veis y creéis en él y la alegría inunda vuestro corazón.” ¡Ojalá que así suceda entre nosotros hoy: que amemos a Jesús resucitado con gozo y alegría!
