HOMILÍA
Hace exactamente una semana resonó en nuestros oídos y en nuestro corazón el gran mensaje que toda Pascua trae siempre consigo: Jesús ha resucitado, Jesús vive. Y para que podamos saborear con paz esta buena noticia, la vamos a recordar y celebrar durante los cincuenta días del tiempo pascual. El cirio encendido, durante todas y cada una de las celebraciones que tengamos los cristianos, nos hablará de que la Pascua continúa y que estamos llamados a vivir con gozo y con una inmensa alegría nuestra fe en Jesús Resucitado. Ya sabemos que nuestro signo distintivo, como cristianos, es el amor, pero no olvidemos añadir también la alegría. Una fe así vivida llega mucho más al corazón de los hombres y mujeres de nuestro tiempo.
La primera lectura la hemos tomado del libro de los Hechos de los Apóstoles. Tras la marcha de Jesús a los cielos, los amigos de Jesús, encabezados por el apóstol Pedro, se pusieron en camino para llevar la Buena Noticia a todos los rincones del mundo, comenzando por Jerusalén. El empuje y la alegría, con la que vivían la fe, hacía que, poco a poco, numerosas personas se fueran añadiendo al grupo. Los mismos apóstoles, siguiendo los pasos de Jesús acompañaban su predicación con signos, con milagros, con curaciones de enfermos. La vida y el testimonio de aquella primera comunidad cristiana debería servirnos de inspiración a todos nosotros. Los cristianos de hoy estamos llamados a vivir la fe en una comunidad y a hacerlo de tal manera que, quienes nos vean, puedan sentirse interpelados.
La segunda lectura la hemos tomado del libro del Apocalipsis. Su autor, Juan, desterrado en la isla de Patmos, en la costa de la actual Turquía, utilizando un lenguaje lleno de imágenes y de simbolismos, nos hablaba de Jesús resucitado y ponía en sus labios esa frase que todos conocemos: “Yo soy el primero y el último, yo soy el que vive, estaba muerto y ya ves, vivo por los siglos”. Juan, como Pedro en la primera lectura, tuvieron claro que, el mensaje central de la Buena Noticia que debían anunciar al mundo, hablaba de la Resurrección de Jesús. Nosotros, cristianos de este siglo XXI, somos testigos de este hecho que nos está constituyendo como comunidad cristiana.
En el evangelio, Jesús, con un mensaje de paz y de perdón, se va a ir apareciendo a unos y a otros para llevarles al convencimiento de que realmente ha resucitado. El caso del apóstol Tomás que no se cree que el maestro haya resucitado y que necesita ver y tocar para creer, es el prototipo de tantos hombres y mujeres de todos los tiempos a los que les pasa lo mismo. “Dichosos los que crean sin haber visto”. Dichosos nosotros que tenemos puesta nuestra fe y nuestra esperanza en Jesús Resucitado y que damos testimonio de Él con nuestra vida
