HOMILÍA
Hemos escuchado las lecturas correspondientes al segundo domingo de Pascua, Domingo de la Divina Misericordia. La primera lectura de hoy la hemos tomado del libro de los Hechos de los Apóstoles, el libro que nos va a acompañar a lo largo de todo el tiempo pascual porque fue allí donde quedó reflejada la historia de la primera comunidad cristiana ya sin la presencia visible de Jesús aunque, eso si, acompañada por esa otra presencia, misteriosa pero real, del Espíritu Santo.
En el pasaje de hoy, hemos podido contemplar una reconstrucción ideal de cómo vivían aquellos primeros cristianos. Nos ha dicho que estaban fraternalmente unidos hasta el punto de renunciar a la propiedad privada y de tenerlo todo en común para poderlo distribuir según lo que necesitaba cada uno. Además, no perdían ocasión de dar a conocer el hecho fundamental que les habla constituido como tal comunidad cristiana: La Resurrección de Jesús. El ideal vivido y sentido por aquella comunidad puede y debe ser hoy también un ideal al que nosotros consagremos nuestras mejores energías.
Aquellos primeros cristianos que daban testimonio de fraternidad y de saber compartir eran hombres y mujeres a quienes la Resurrección de Jesús les habla impresionado profundamente. De ahí que cada creyente se convirtiera en un auténtico misionero. La Resurrección de Jesús era una noticia que les quemaba por dentro y que les impulsaba a compartirla con la mayor cantidad de gente posible. Las buenas noticias nadie las guarda para si. Todos las compartimos. La Resurrección de Jesús, el hecho de saber que Cristo no es solo un personaje del pasado sino alguien que está vivo hoy en medio de nosotros ¿Supone para los cristianos actuales una buena noticia hasta el punto de que nuestra vida como creyentes tiene una fuerte dimensión misionera? Como aquellos primeros cristianos ¿Nos sentimos impulsados a comunicar la inmensa alegría de la presencia de Jesús entre nosotros? Pensémoslo.
El relato evangélico de hoy ha tenido dos partes. El mismo día de la Resurrección, Jesús se hace presente en medio de los Apóstoles que estaban escondidos y llenos de miedo. Les saluda con un deseo de paz y les hace participes de su poder para perdonar pecados, para ser instrumentos de reconciliación. Ocho días más tarde, al domingo siguiente, Jesús vuelve a hacerse presente para encontrarse con Tomás, el Apóstol que se negaba a creer si antes no veía y palpaba al Maestro. El drama de Tomás es el de muchos hombres, incluso de algunos cristianos. Necesitan ver para creer. Recordemos nosotros las palabras de Jesús: “Dichosos los que crean sin haber visto”
