HOMILÍA
El pasado día veintidós, se celebró, en toda la Iglesia, el llamado “Domingo de la Palabra de Dios”. Es bueno que los cristianos no olvidemos nunca la importancia que esa Palabra de Dios tiene para nuestro crecimiento en la Fe. Prestemos una atención especial cada vez que se proclaman los textos bíblicos que escuchamos en la Misa. El Señor nos habla a través de ellos y nosotros debemos preguntarnos qué es lo que nos está queriendo decir dada nuestra realidad.
La primera lectura de este cuarto domingo del tiempo ordinario, que acabamos de escuchar, la hemos tomado del profeta Sofonías. Él habla a su pueblo de practicar el derecho, de buscar la justicia, de ser humildes, de encontrar refugio en el Señor. Cosas que nos vienen muy bien también a los que vivimos en la actualidad. El derecho, la justicia, la humildad, el dirigir nuestra mirada hacia el Señor, son actitudes y comportamientos que estamos llamados a adoptar.
La segunda lectura, de San Pablo a los Corintios, nos ha hablado de cómo nuestras comunidades cristianas no están compuestas de nobles, de sabios, de personas superdotadas. Todos somos gente sencilla, llena de buenos sentimientos, a través de los cuales Dios puede llegar a confundir a los sabios y a los poderosos de este mundo. Sintámonos orgullosos de lo que somos. Pongamos el corazón en lo que hacemos, tratemos de ayudarnos los unos a los otros.
El relato del Evangelio de San Mateo ha puesto ante nuestros ojos las Bienaventuranzas. ¿Quiénes son bienaventurados, dichosos, felices para Dios? Los pobres, los que optan por la mansedumbre, por ser constructores de paz, por ayudar a los que lloran; los que pasan hambre, los que no tienen lo necesario para vivir. También los misericordiosos, los limpios de corazón, los perseguidos. Así tenemos que ser nosotros.
