HOMILÍA
Hemos escuchado las lecturas propias de este quinto domingo del tiempo ordinario. Lecturas que parecen seguir la estela de la primera del domingo pasado en la que se nos relataba la historia de la vocación del profeta Jeremías. En este domingo, el tema de la llamada, de la vocación, vuelve a estar presente y en todas ellas. La primera, la hemos tomado del profeta Isaías. Siente la llamada de Dios y, a la par y como es común en todos los llamados, experimenta también su indignidad, su pequeñez, su fragilidad, su pecado, su debilidad. Pero el Dios que llama sabe, mejor que nadie, como es el llamado y, a pesar de todo, quiere tener necesidad de él. Isaías, una vez convencido de la cercanía del Dios que no le abandonará nunca, da su sí: “Aquí estoy, mándame”.
Como recordábamos también el pasado domingo, el Señor sigue buscando personas como Isaías que digan: “Aquí estoy, mándame.” Hoy, las comunidades cristianas, nuestras parroquias de la diócesis, empiezan a sentir la falta de sacerdotes. Los años pasan, los sacerdotes nos vamos haciendo mayores, algunos nos van dejando y ya no es posible atender a todas las parroquias como se venía haciendo. El problema es mayor, si cabe, cuando se percibe que detrás no vienen otros que puedan tomar el relevo, al menos en la medida en la que sería necesario. Es importante que, como decía Jesús, sigamos rezando al dueño de la mies para que envíe obreros a su mies pero, no lo es menos que, algunos de lo que hoy escuchan estos textos bíblicos, se den por aludidos, den un paso al frente y repitan la respuesta del profeta: “Aquí estoy, mándame también a mí.”
La segunda lectura la hemos tomado, como estos domingos pasados de la carta que san Pablo escribió a la comunidad cristiana de Corinto. Después de dejar constancia de su profesión de fe, hace alusión a una lista de llamados a quienes se fue apareciendo Cristo Resucitado. El se considera el último de esa lista pero, como los anteriores, también llamado por el propio Jesús. Dejemos que la llamada de Jesús resuene en nuestros corazones. Hoy la Iglesia necesita, más que nunca, de respuestas positivas, de personas que digan sí a Dios, a la causa del evangelio, al bien de las personas. Es decir, a ser sacerdotes.
La lectura del evangelio también nos ha hablado de llamadas, de vocaciones. En este caso, llamadas del propio Jesús a quienes serían sus apóstoles. De pescadores de peces los sacó para convertirlos en pescadores de hombres. También ellos se sintieron indignos y pecadores al recibir la llamada pero la insistencia de Jesús, la contundencia de la orden: “Sígueme” les dio fuerzas para responder positivamente. Pidamos, en este domingo también, por las vocaciones sacerdotales y religiosas y preguntémonos si el Señor no nos estará llamando a nosotros
