HOMILÍA
Celebra hoy la Iglesia la fiesta del Bautismo de Jesús con la que termina el ciclo de Navidad–Epifanía. Estamos pasando de centrar nuestra mirada en un Jesús Niño, nacido en el Portal de Belén, adorado por los pastores y los Magos de Oriente, a fijarnos en un Jesús, ya adulto, que deja su pueblo de Nazaret y a su madre María para encontrarse con Juan el Bautista a las orillas del rio Jordán. Allí va a tener lugar un hecho crucial en la vida de este Jesús que, a partir de ahora, va a lanzarse a la aventura de su vida pública. Ha llegado para él la hora de los milagros y de las parábolas, del anuncio de una Buena Noticia por los caminos y los pueblos de Palestina y también de su Pasión, muerte y Resurrección.
La primera lectura la hemos tomado del profeta Isaías que nos hablaba de un misterioso personaje llamado “Siervo de Yavé” que se parece extraordinariamente a lo enseñado y hecho por Jesús de Nazaret. Como él recibirá la fuerza del Espíritu, anunciará su mensaje con una actitud pacífica, hará milagros, hablará de la justicia y será alianza de un pueblo y luz de las naciones. Lo dicho por Isaías se cumple en Jesús.
La segunda lectura, del Libro de los Hechos de los Apóstoles, recoge una palabra del Apóstol Pedro que anuncia a Jesús con estas palabras: “Me refiero a Jesús de Nazaret, ungido por Dios con la fuerza del Espíritu Santo, que pasó haciendo el bien y curando a todos los oprimidos por el diablo, porque Dios estaba con él”. Pasar haciendo el bien es la mejor forma de caminar por esta vida, por este mundo.
El relato del evangelio de San Marcos nos ha contado el relato del bautismo de Jesús y cómo el Espíritu se posó sobre él. Se oyó la voz del Padre: “Tú eres mi Hijo amado. En ti me complazco.” También nosotros fuimos bautizados y resonó en nuestros corazones las mismas palabras: “Tú eres mi Hijo amado”. Sintámonos hijos amados por ese Padre Dios.
