DOMINGO DE LA SANTÍSIMA TRINIDAD
Galilea, lugar y comienzo de la predicación de Jesús, se convierte ahora en el culmen y fin de la presencia humana del Hijo de Dios en la tierra. Significativo es el lugar donde se aparece de nuevo: un monte; significativo porque en la montaña fue donde Dios le mostró a Moisés su gloria y le dio las Tablas de la Ley. Significativo puesto que en el Tabor Jesús se transfiguró a los discípulos. Significativo, porque la montaña en la Biblia es lugar de encuentro con Dios.
Y precisamente se encuentra de nuevo con ellos en Galilea; si Jesús había comenzado su predicación allí, quería culminar su presencia entre nosotros en aquel mismo lugar; y a modo de envío, les hace partir de ese mismo lugar, para que continúen su misma misión: anunciar el evangelio y bautizar.
Anuncia ahora el Maestro uno de los deberes de su comunidad: bautizar en el nombre del Padre y del Hijo y del Espíritu Santo; el Bautismo se convierte en el comienzo de la expansión del cristianismo; releyendo los Hechos de los Apóstoles nos daríamos cuenta cómo aquellos que escuchaban la Buena Noticia creían y se bautizaban; el significativo baño en agua, cargado con la fuerza del Sacramento, crea en los cristianos una nueva forma de vida y les hace parte de una nueva familia que es la Iglesia.
Somos hijos de Dios, porque así lo ha designado el Padre; ha querido ponernos su anillo y hacer una fiesta en nuestro honor; por eso nos atrevemos a llamarlo Abba, Padre; porque así nos lo ha revelado Jesús.
Hemos sido salvados en el Hijo: su muerte y resurrección abre para nosotros la vida eterna que se nos había prometido junto a Dios desde la creación del mundo. Su redención a través del madero nos hace mirar agradecidos al Mesías.
Santificados y guiados por la fuerza del Espíritu, nos sentimos en todo momento acompañados por la Fuerza que permanece viva y operante en medio de nosotros; es en el Espíritu y por su gracia, por lo que podemos conocer a Dios.
La Trinidad nos acompaña aquí y ahora; ser conscientes de su presencia es sentir que somos amados por el Dios uno y trino que se nos ha manifestado gratuitamente.
