BIENAVENTURADOS
Celebramos hoy la Fiesta de todos los Santos. Pero, ¿de qué fiesta se trata? ¿Cuál es su mensaje? ¿Qué alcance tiene para el cristiano de hoy? Estas cuestiones son eco de otras que me han dirigido muchos cristianos en un diálogo de discernimiento cristiano: ¿No es la santidad una palabra extraña en nuestro lenguaje actual? ¿A quién y a qué la podemos referir para que nos sirva en la vida de la fe? ¿No nos sitúa en un ámbito de perfectos, héroes y superdotados, de los cuales nosotros nos sentimos muy distantes? De momento, esta Fiesta nos da la oportunidad de reflexionar sobre el alcance de la Santidad en la vida, que no nos centre tanto en nuestras obras, cuanto en lo que Dios viene haciendo en nosotros.
La Palabra de Dios nos presenta hoy la realidad de una multitud de santos anónimos, plenos de vida evangélica, de experiencia de Dios, de sentimientos y obras de caridad. (Ap 7,2–4–9–14). Y esto, porque el genotipo divino que marca su vida, no es otro que el ser Hijos de Dios. (1Jn 3,1–3). Haciendo esto más concreto, podemos decir con el evangelio de hoy, que la santidad vivida por Jesús, es un Camino de Bondad y Felicidad. (Bienaventuranzas y obras de Misericordia. Mt 5,1–12; 25). Esta es la Santidad: un Camino y una Meta de Bondad, Felicidad y Comunión.
Lo que hoy celebramos es el Amor de Dios, que ya ha acogido a los que nos han precedido y nos esperan a los que todavía estamos en camino. Santidad es “Comunión feliz entre todos los hijos de Dios… Lo más importante de la vida cristiana es ser y no perder nunca la imagen de hijo de Dios, como hicieron y vivieron los santos.
