5º DOMINGO DE PASCUA
( Jn 14,1-12.) Tal vez el evangelio de este domingo nos ayuda a entender los evangelios que proclamábamos en las semanas anteriores. Jesús es la puerta del redil, el buen pastor, un profeta poderoso en obras y palabras…en definitiva, el Camino, la Verdad y la Vida, como leemos hoy.
Jesús es el camino, pero al mismo tiempo nos ayuda a caminar dándonos a beber el agua viva y a comer el pan vivo que ha bajado del cielo. Y no sólo eso, además es nuestra luz y, como Buen Pastor, nos lleva de su mano. Jesús es la vida, una vida que no tiene límites y que se lanza hasta la eternidad. Jesús es la verdadera Palabra hecha vida para la salvación del mundo.
Pero para que Jesús pueda ayudarnos a caminar necesitamos fiarnos de El, como un niño confía en que, agarrado a su padre o a su madre, no le pasará nada.
El texto del evangelio de san Juan, nos muestra otra “epifanía de Dios”, la manifestación del Dios que se acerca a los hombres; no para imponer su soberanía, sino para salvar; no para afirmarse superior, sino salvador; no para imponerse a sus servidores, sino para amar a sus hermanos. Por eso no podemos perder la calma, sino creer.
¡Y cuánto varía la condición del creyente cuando ésta se basa en el Dios de Jesús y no, sin más datos, en el Dios de la filosofía o en el Dios de la ética y de las normas! Por de pronto, el Dios de Jesús es un Dios gratuito, desinteresado, puro servicio y donación, pura entrega y estímulo.
El Mensaje del Dios de Jesús no es algo extraño al hombre, sino la donación al hombre de "un camino, una verdad y una vida”.
Este lenguaje resulta escandaloso para algunos creyentes en Dios. Admitimos la superioridad, la majestad, la eternidad de Dios, el magnífico poder e intercesión divinas pero rechazamos, a veces un Dios que es gratuidad total, servicio y entrega para el bien del hombre. Estamos deseando un Dios justo, juez, ordenador y legislador.
Y rechazamos el Dios de Jesús que es amor, comunicación, interés por la justicia y la dignidad humanas, defensor de los débiles, y pobres, abogado de los marginados y explotados.
El Dios que se nos ha manifestado en Jesús es el Dios amor, el único que existe, cuyo juicio se basa en el amor, y cuyo plan desde la eternidad ha sido salvar al hombre y elevarlo a la categoría de hijo de Dios.
Y a pesar de todo lo que hemos visto y oído, lo recibido y vivido, seguimos insistiendo: muéstranos al Padre… ¡Qué ciegos estamos! Dios ya nos ha hablado de manera definitiva en Jesucristo. Creamos en Él
