XIV Domingo del Tiempo Ordinario. Ciclo A
Una oración sincera y agradecida de Jesús al Padre en la que recoge la humildad y sencillez de tantos discípulos como le siguieron y le siguen. Lo necio del mundo lo ha escogido Dios para confundir a los sabios; no se rodeó Jesús de los letrados o los fariseos, de los que se creían conocedores de la Escritura y llevaban textos siempre encima... Al contrario, pescadores sencillos que estaban en el lago echando el copo, o un recaudador de impuestos que era considerado un traidor judío; incluso esa llamada se produce de boca a boca...
Nada hay de sabio, al menos intelectualmente, en esos hombres que escogió; tampoco en tantos hombres y mujeres y niños como le escuchaban sus sermones en el lago o en la montaña.
Y es que el que no se haga como un niño no puede entender su evangelio, su noticia, lo que ha venido a contarnos. Un niño tiene los ojos y el corazón abiertos, como una esponja, que todo lo embebe y recoge. Así fueron esos hombres sencillos. Marcados por un corazón bueno e incluso espontáneo, como el de Pedro.
Y a ellos a los que se ha revelado Jesús, también se manifiesta el Padre; porque ambos son Uno; el Hijo se ha revelado, se ha mostrado a todos con la dignidad y la benevolencia típicas de Dios. Conocer y creer en el Hijo es ver al Padre con la fuerza y la gracia del Espíritu. Son Uno.
En Cristo encontramos nuestro descanso; en él ponemos nuestros afanes, nuestros trabajos, nuestras alegrías y penas... Aprender del cordero manso y humilde de corazón, que enmudece, no abre la boca. Habiendo podido ser el gran rey de reyes, pasó por el mundo haciendo el bien y lavando los pies a sus discípulos. ¿No es este un ejemplo grandioso?
Pero no se puede entender desde una mente tecnocrática que busque los primeros puestos y los reconocimientos públicos: no es ése el modo de actuar de Dios. Gracias porque se lo has querido revelar a la gente sencilla. Ahora debemos pedir ese corazón humilde.
