ADVIENTO 2017
RECUERDA QUE ERES PEQUEÑO
Querido amigo:
En estos tiempos de nerviosismo y tensiones, tanto sociales como eclesiales, es bueno recordar las palabras del papa Francisco (2-12-2014) con las que nos invitaba a practicar en el tiempo de Adviento una “teología de rodillas”. Una teología de la humildad y sencillez, de saber hacernos pequeños, una teología que nos enseñe a tener un corazón sencillo y así poder conocer mejor a Jesús. Él no vino con poder temporal para cambiar el mundo; sino que se hizo presente entre nosotros como un niño, un vástago humilde y manso, para traer la salvación a los ancianos, enfermos, pobres y oprimidos… ¡a todos!
Los ojos de los pequeños y pobres son más aptos para ver a Jesús que los de los soberbios y engreídos que sólo piensan en ellos y en su poder. Para vislumbrar la luz del buen Dios, para intuirle, se necesita una actitud de humildad y saberse “pequeño”, ya que el misterio de la Buena Noticia pertenece sólo a los “pobres de espíritu”. La dote del tiempo de Adviento es la pobreza, que nos prepara para abrirnos la puerta del misterio de Dios, una dote que a veces puede faltar a aquellos que dedican su inteligencia y su vida sólo al hacer y se olvidan del ser.
Este tiempo es una llamada a prepararnos para acercarnos a Jesús, que se hace pequeño y cobija la grandeza del misterio de Dios en esa pequeñez de los pobres y humildes del mundo. Sólo en este marco podemos esperar de verdad, de corazón, el nacimiento de Jesús. Sólo en este marco podemos recibirle.
En unos momentos tan recios como los actuales, los cristianos debemos impregnar en nuestra sociedad fortaleza y esperanza, ya que hemos sido redimidos, salvados y amados por Jesús. ¿Qué gestos, presencias o actitudes percibimos en nuestro interior que nos llaman a ser testigos de esperanza hoy?
El fundamento para vivir el tiempo de preparación para la Navidad, en la que conmemoramos que Jesús nació de la Virgen, en Belén, es sentirnos pequeños ante la grandeza de Dios. Es un tiempo para acercarnos a María, la que esperó como nadie, amarla filialmente e imitarla en su fe y en su hacerse pequeña para acoger a Dios hecho Hombre.
Pidamos en este tiempo de Adviento, que nos acerquemos más y más al Misterio que se hace Niño y que lo hagamos por el camino de la humildad y la sencillez.
