ADVIENTO 2013
ÁBRETE A LA ESPERANZA
Estás leyendo la primera carta de un nuevo Año Litúrgico. Comienza el Adviento y con él recibes una invitación a renovar tu esperanza. Sí, tu esperanza. No es cualquier cosa, no es una palabra más que te digo, sino que te invito a que entres de lleno a descubrir cómo el Adviento es, fundamentalmente, una visita que nos abre futuro, que nos trae esperanza.
Es una visita de Dios, que llama a tu puerta, que quiere entrar en tu vida. Un Dios que se dirige a ti para compartir tu historia. Y lo quiere hacer porque te ama. Sí, te ama cuando estás en el lecho del dolor; te ama cuando sufres el desgarro de la división y ruptura entre los tuyos; te ama cuando miras tus papeles del paro y sólo te queda un mes de subsidio; te ama cuando ya no tienes paro y la hipoteca no te deja dormir; te ama en todas esas circunstancias sociales que resultan angostas y que te hacen atravesar el desierto de la soledad. En esas circunstancias, tu oración es el clamor del alma que humildemente confiesa su propia indigencia y solicita una limosna de los cielos para que Dios se haga Hombre entre todos nosotros y traiga al mundo un rayo de luz.
Te hago una profunda llamada a la esperanza, fundada en la fidelidad de la Palabra de Dios que nos prometió visitarnos y quedarse entre nosotros y que promueve el despertar de la fraternidad y solidaridad de nuestro mundo como máxima manifestación de amor. Cada uno podemos ser mediadores de esperanza con obras concretas en el acontecer de cada día.
Ponte en camino. No mires hacia atrás. “Cristo es el mismo ayer, hoy y siempre” (Cf. Hb 13,8) y en el “hoy” de la historia concreta del siglo XXI, te necesita a ti para que seas levadura que renueve la masa desde dentro. Para esto sabemos que la gran novedad que podemos ofrecer es “Dios entre nosotros”.
Te invito a que guardes en tu memoria aquellas palabras, acontecimientos y experiencias que sabes que te levantaron cuando vivías en el desierto de la soledad… Te invito a que aunque pases por pruebas de fuego, la referencia luminosa del portal de Belén sea verdadera referencia de luz y acompañamiento solidario en tu caminar.
Este tiempo de Adviento es para ti y para todos nosotros el inicio de un tiempo de espera, de dejarnos mirar y querer por Dios, un tiempo para dirigir la mirada hacia Él. Es una oportunidad para que nuestro mundo, cargado de egoísmo, se convierta en casa abierta donde podemos sentarnos todos en la misma mesa.
En el momento que leas estas letras, tal vez tu fe se tambalea o tal vez se mantiene fuerte… No dudes, porque si eres capaz de esperar contra toda esperanza, esta misma esperanza se convertirá en salvación. Si los acontecimientos históricos te duelen, te son contrarios…cuenta con la ayuda y acompañamiento de Dios. Si no ves ningún resplandor del cielo que ilumine las tinieblas de la tierra; escucha que hoy te digo: sé valiente, espera en el Señor.
