EL ADVIENTO NOS ANUNCIA UNA VISITA
Queridos amigos:
Con la llegada del Adviento recibimos una invitación a ponernos en camino. Un camino que hacemos para vivir el misterio de Cristo en la historia. Que fuerza tienen estas palabras: “Cristo es el mismo ayer, hoy y siempre” (Cfr. Hb 13,8). En cambio la historia cambia y necesita ser evangelizada constantemente, necesita renovarse desde dentro y la única verdadera novedad es Cristo. Porque en Cristo está la realización plena y el futuro luminoso del hombre y del mundo.
Os invito a que entremos de lleno a descubrir cómo el Adviento es, fundamentalmente, una visita. Es la visita de Dios: quiere entrar en nuestras vidas y quiere dirigirse a cada uno de nosotros, y quiere entrar en nuestra historia y en la historia de todos los hombres.
Para recibir esta “visita”, debemos tener el traje limpio y el corazón sencillo, ya que Jesús no vino al mundo como un poderoso, sino “como un brote”, un vástago humilde y manso que ha venido para los humildes, para los mansos, a traer la salvación a los enfermos, a los pobres y a los oprimidos.
Si queremos descubrir y vivir el Adviento, necesitamos los ojos de un pobre y el corazón de un enamorado de Dios y de nuestro prójimo.
En los próximos domingos de Adviento, os invito a que os dejéis llenar por la Palabra de Dios y para esto necesitamos: “Velar”, para que el Señor coja nuestro corazón; “descubrir” que el Señor es el Rey verdadero; “confiar” en el envío evangelizador; y “creer” como una adhesión incondicional a Dios que nos ama entrañablemente.
Adviento y Navidad son tiempos marianos. Pongámonos en las manos de María al comenzar esta nueva etapa. Pidámosle que nos acerque al manantial de la vida que se manifestará en el Emmanuel, el Dios con nosotros.
