DIOS SE HACE VULNERABLE Y DÉBIL
Es noche cerrada. De pronto, una “claridad” envuelve con su resplandor a unos pastores. Algo muy importante está ocurriendo. La señal está en encontrar a un niño envuelto en pañales y acostado en un pesebre. No es una señal prodigiosa, ni portentosa. Es más bien, una “antiseñal” ante los ojos del mundo. Ayer como hoy, el Dios de la Biblia se manifiesta en lo sencillo, en lo pobre, en lo humilde.
La escena del nacimiento del Hijo de Dios, está muy lejos de ser un relato idílico. Es la historia de unos padres exiliados, sin domicilio, sin lo mínimo para preparar el nacimiento de su Hijo. No es la historia de una familia “normal”. O quizás sí. Cuántas familias, por desgracia, viven hoy una situación similar. En algunas ocasiones muy cerca de nosotros, aunque para muchos pasen como “invisibles”.
El buen Dios ha querido que su Hijo compartiese todo con nosotros, también las situaciones límite. De esa situación de dificultad, de indefensión participaron María y José. En la actualidad, muchas familias, tal vez las nuestras, viven también situaciones extremas. No podemos vivir de espaldas a las duras realidades que están sufriendo muchos niños y mayores, la realidad de quienes no tienen donde poder vivir.
El Dios “hecho carne” entre nosotros, no es indiferente a lo que el hombre de hoy, el hombre de todos los tiempos vive. En Jesús, su Hijo, ha ocurrido algo desconcertante. No se ha quedado en silencio para siempre. Se comunicó y hoy sigue haciéndolo, no a través de revelaciones o apariciones, sino encarnándose en la humanidad. Se sigue haciendo, débil, frágil y vulnerable como cada uno de nosotros.
Cada persona tendrá sus razones para festejar la Navidad, pero la única razón para celebrar verdaderamente una nueva Navidad es ésta: “Hoy os ha nacido el Salvador”. Ese niño no les nació solo a José y María. No es suyo. Es de todos, en especial de quien sufre la marginación y la pobreza y de quienes se sienten pobres por opción. Por eso el Hijo de Dios es la esperanza de quienes no la tienen, es quien trae a los que más sufren una palabra de ánimo, de posibilidad, de futuro. Sin esperanza, no hay Navidad.
Dios ha bajado a lo más profundo de nuestra existencia, ha venido para ser vida y luz en medio de las oscuridades de los hombres. Se quiere quedar entre nosotros, haciendo de nuestro corazón un portal de Belén, de nuestras oscuridades un lugar que pueda ser iluminado por la verdad y de nuestras relaciones un espacio de fraternidad. Quiere que nadie viva sin casa y sin luz, sin pan y sin amor.
Hagamos de la Navidad, en este nuevo diciembre que se nos brinda, un tiempo de alegría y esperanza, de amor y conversión; teniendo en nuestras vidas a Jesús, el Señor de la Navidad. Entonces la celebración se convertirá para nosotros no en una celebración de un día ni de un mes, sino de todos nuestros días, de toda nuestra vida.
