QUE ÉL HABÍA DE RESUCITAR
Queridos amigos:
A veces nos olvidamos que Pascua es, antes que nada, la fiesta de la confianza. Ahora sabemos en manos de quién estamos. Nuestra vida, creada por Dios con amor infinito, no se pierde en la muerte. Todos estamos englobados en el misterio de la resurrección de Cristo. No hay nadie que no esté incluido en ese destino último de vida plena.
En estos días en que el coronavirus se acerca a nosotros corriendo, sin hacer ruido, sin distinción de personas y con el fuego de la muerte encendido, os invito a redoblar la “confianza” en el Resucitado. La vida triunfa sobre la muerte.
La «confianza» es una palabra humilde, sencilla, natural, pero es al mismo tiempo una de las más esenciales para vivir. Sin confianza no hay amor, no hay fe, no hay vida. Sin confianza «caminamos solos, aislados en una especie de “túnel” construido con nuestros problemas, nuestras preocupaciones y nuestras inquietudes» (O. Clement).
En el fondo, todos nuestros miedos y angustias brotan de la angustia ante la muerte. Tenemos miedo al dolor, a la vejez, la desgracia, la incertidumbre, la soledad. Nos agarramos a todo lo que nos pueda dar algo de seguridad, consistencia o felicidad. Proyectamos sobre los otros nuestra angustia tratando de sobresalir y dominar, luchando por tener «algo» o ser «alguien».
La fiesta de Pascua nos invita a reemplazar la angustia de la muerte por la certeza de la resurrección. Si Cristo ha resucitado, la muerte no tiene la última palabra. Podemos vivir con confianza. Podemos esperar más allá de la muerte. Podemos avanzar sin caer en la tristeza de la vejez, sin hundirnos en la soledad y el pesimismo, sin agarrarnos al consumismo, al egoísmo, al cultivo de la propia imagen y a tantas formas de olvido y evasión.
Vivir desde esta confianza no es dejar de ser lúcido. Sentimos en nuestra propia carne la fragilidad, el sufrimiento y la enfermedad. La muerte parece amenazarnos por todas partes. El hambre y el horror del Convid-19 destruyen a poblaciones enteras. La confianza en la victoria final de la vida no nos vuelve insensibles. Al contrario, nos hace sufrir y compartir con más profundidad las desgracias y sufrimientos de la gente.
En estos días llevamos dentro de nuestro corazón el dolor por la pérdida de nuestros seres queridos y el dolor de los enfermos; pero también llevamos abrazos de solidaridad, cantos de esperanza, aplausos de cercanía; y sobre todo, la confianza y la alegría de que Cristo Resucitado está entre nosotros, en especial en aquellos que más sufren.
Que la promesa de que “Él había de resucitar” sea para cada uno de nosotros no un slogan, sino una vivencia que trascurra por el cauce de la confianza
