Domingo 2º Pascua, ciclo A.
Lo que pretende el evangelista San Juan en esta bella narración es describirnos la situación concreta en que se halla una Comunidad que todavía no ha hecho experiencia de la Resurrección y esa misma comunidad cuando ya se ha encontrado con Él.
ESTA ES LA SITUACIÓN DE LA COMUNIDAD ANTES DEL ENCUENTRO CON EL RESUCITADO.
Al atardecer de aquel día. Al atardecer se va la luz y viene la noche, es decir, el tiempo de la desorientación, del no saber dónde uno está, (Pensemos en aquellas noches sin luz eléctrica) y simbólicamente, de la pérdida del sentido de la vida. Lamentablemente hay muchas personas de nuestro tiempo en esta situación. Están convencidos de que con la muerte todo se acaba.
Las puertas cerradas. Esta frase está dicha especialmente para los cristianos que no creen en la Resurrección. No hay salida, no hay horizonte, no hay perspectivas. Tampoco hay nada que ofrecer. La fe se vacía de contenido. Lo decía San Pablo:” Si Cristo no ha resucitado vana es nuestra fe y somos los más desgraciados de todos los hombres” (1Cor. 15,13–14).
Por miedo a los judíos. Después de la muerte de Jesús, todo había terminado para los discípulos. La causa de Jesús había que olvidarla poco a poco como si se tratara de un sueño. Ya no tenían la persona que siempre los defendía. El miedo se había apoderado de sus corazones. En esta situación es imposible la evangelización. Para dar malas noticias ya tenemos los medios de comunicación.
SITUACION DE UNA COMUNIDAD QUE SE HA ENCONTRADO CON JESUS.
Los discípulos se alegran. Pero no con una alegría normal, epidérmica, que dura muy poco. Se trata de una alegría profunda que “nadie ya les puede arrebatar”. Alegría de cuerpo y alma, alegría que durará para siempre. Alegría que ya no pueden contener y sienten necesidad de comunicar. Ha nacido el testigo, el apóstol.
Puertas abiertas. Aquellos que han estado encerrados, salen a dar esta maravillosa noticia a todo el mundo. Nadie los puede detener. Si tratan de acallarlos, dirán que “es necesario obedecer a Dios antes que a los hombres” (Hech. 5,29). Para los que creen en Jesús hay futuro, hay horizonte, hay un primer día de la semana, hay un nuevo porvenir. El futuro no el algo sino Alguien. El futuro es Dios, nuestra patria, nuestro descanso, nuestra plena realización, nuestra felicidad que nadie nos podrá arrebatar.
Pierden el miedo. El encuentro con el Resucitado les hace perder el miedo a morir. Van a la muerte cantando. “Y cuando los meten en la cárcel se sienten felices de haber padecido por el nombre de Jesús” (Hech. 5,41). Me pregunto: ¿Qué hubiera pasado si Jesús no se hubiera aparecido a Tomás? Se hubiera ido del grupo. No hubiera podido soportar la presión de unos compañeros felices y contentos y él lleno de tristeza. Se sentiría totalmente desfasado. Sin el encuentro con Jesús Resucitado, sin experiencia de Pascua, es imposible llevar una auténtica vida cristiana. La Iglesia no necesita cristianos con caras de Viernes Santo sino cristianos con caras de Pascua de Resurrección.
