- – ¡Señor, muéstranos al Padre y nos basta!
Esta bella expresión de Felipe no podría entenderse sin una constante referencia de Jesús al Padre. (25 veces en solo este capítulo). Para Jesús su Padre lo es todo. Con razón decía que no tenía casa. Era el Padre el cielo que le cobijaba, el suelo que le sostenía, el aire que respiraba, el pan que le alimentaba, el vino que le alegraba y la almohada donde reclinaba su cabeza en momentos de agobio y de fatiga. Tan penetrado está de la presencia del Padre que “el que ve a Él está viendo al Padre”. Cuando Jesús se define como Camino, Verdad y Vida, significa: camino hacia el Padre; verdad del Padre y vida en el Padre.
- – Jesús, Camino hacia el Padre.
El gozo de Jesús es el poder revelarnos al Padre. Para eso ha venido a este mundo. No ha venido a decirnos que Dios existe, sino que Dios es un Padre maravilloso que nos ama siempre y no puede dejar de amarnos. Con un Padre así se acabaron los miedos, los sobresaltos, las angustias, las tristezas, las soledades en este mundo. Y, al final, el mismo Padre nos espera en una casa muy grande donde hay sitio para todos. Qué palabras tan consoladoras de Jesús: “Quiero que donde esté yo estéis también vosotros”. Quiere que participemos de su propia felicidad. El ya no sabe, no quiere vivir nada sin nosotros. Jesús ha vivido con el Padre en un verdadero “jardín interior”. Y de ese jardín quiere que participemos todos ya aquí en este mundo. Y, después de la muerte, en el cielo y para siempre.
- – Jesús Verdad del Padre.
En este mundo limitado y fragmentario hablamos de “verdades”. En el mundo de Dios donde todo es completo y perfecto, sólo se habla de VERDAD. Jesús no tiene verdades. Él es LA VERDAD. La misma verdad del Padre. Por eso es la pura transparencia, la perfecta armonía, la coherencia suprema. Lo que Jesús decía no era sino “la glosa” de su vida en el Padre.
- – Jesús, Vida en el Padre.
Jesús posee esa misma vida del Padre que estaba en Dios desde el principio y de esa misma vida nos ha hecho partícipes a nosotros. “De su plenitud hemos participado todos” (Jn.1, 16). Por eso el empeño de Jesús es que tengamos vida, pero no una vida a medias, una vida mediocre, una vida limitada, una vida malograda, sino una vida en plenitud. Con Jesús da gusto vivir. Con Jesús se saborea la vida. Con Jesús la vida fluye como de un manantial. Estando con Jesús siempre cabe lo nuevo, lo inédito, lo irrepetible. Con Jesús puedes estrenar la vida cada día y en cada instante.
