En estos pocos versículos del evangelio de hoy, se repite por cuatro veces el verbo “AMAR “. Naturalmente, no se trata de un mero “amor humano”, sino de un amor divino. “Yo rogaré al Padre y os dará el Espíritu Santo” (v 16). Con la presencia del Espíritu, Jesús puede ya marchar tranquilo al cielo.
- –Relación entre “mandamientos y amor”. “Si me amáis cumpliréis los mandamientos” (v. 15).
Según Jesús nadie puede cumplir los mandamientos sin amor. Es condición indispensable. La razón nos la da San Juan cuando nos dice:” El que no ama está muerto”. (Iª Jn. 3,14). Según el apóstol es imposible encontrar a un cristiano sin amor, como es imposible encontrar a un ser vivo sin pulso. A veces hacemos cosas buenas, incluso muy buenas; pero no agradan a Dios porque están viciadas en su raíz. Las hacemos para que nos estimen, nos alaben, nos recompensen. Y si lo hacemos así, ya hemos recibido la paga. Lo importante es hacer las cosas únicamente para ser vistos por nuestro Padre Dios “que ve en lo secreto”. (Mt. 6,18). Nos tenemos que preguntar constantemente no por lo que hacemos sino “desde donde lo hacemos”.
- – El que ama es amado del Padre (v.22).
La mejor manera de saber que Dios nos ama es a través del amor. Y la vida cambia totalmente cuando uno está seguro de que Dios Padre le quiere. Toda la misión de Jesús se redujo a esto: a que llegáramos a la experiencia vivencial de sentirnos amados por Dios. En el monte y en el rio; en la playa o en el mar, en el día o en la noche, en la vida o en la muerte, hay una presencia permanente de Dios que me envuelve, me acaricia, me relaja, me da paz y gozo. Disfrutar de esta presencia es encontrar la raíz de mi felicidad.
- – El que ama es amado de Jesús (v. 22).
Jesús es el Hijo en quien el Padre ha puesto sus complacencias. El que quiera saber cómo es el amor que Dios nos tiene, debe hacerlo a través de Jesús. Si Jesús acaricia a los niños, mira con ternura a los jóvenes, llora al ver llorar a Marta y a María, se enternece al encontrarse con una madre viuda que acaba de perder al hijo, y le da compasión la gente que no puede comer en el desierto, es para decirnos que “así es el Padre Dios”. Más aún, si Jesús se abraza con la Cruz y entrega su vida por amor, es para decirnos que Él, en ese momento, es una “parábola del Padre”. A través del corazón abierto de Jesús, podemos entrar ya en el “Sancta Sanctorum” de Dios. Dios es un misterio, pero no para nuestra cabeza sino para nuestro corazón. Ser amado por Jesús es experimentar todo el inmenso cariño que Dios Padre nos tiene desde toda la eternidad.
