Ascensión, ciclo A.
De este evangelio de San Mateo, en esta festividad de la Ascensión, sacamos tres ideas importantes:
- – Jesús se va al cielo, pero se queda siempre con nosotros.
Precisamente este evangelio de Mateo ha destacado esta presencia de Jesús con nosotros. Al principio nos habla de Jesús como ENMANUEL. Su nombre, su esencia, es estar con nosotros. Sin nosotros Él ya no sería Él. Desde el misterio de la Encarnación Dios es Dios–con–nosotros. Y al final del evangelio nos dice que estará con nosotros todos los días hasta el fin del mundo. Siendo esta presencia de Jesús tan arrolladora, ¿quién podrá decir que está solo? En aquel que pasa hambre y sed, está desnudo, está encarcelado, está enfermo…ahí está Él (Mt. 25). En la vida podemos experimentar la “amarga soledad” pero sólo la soledad de los hombres, pero nunca la de Jesús.
- – El encanto de una despedida.
En el evangelio de Lucas, aparece la ascensión al final de todo, como el epílogo final, como el broche de oro a este evangelio de la bondad y la ternura de Jesús. Pues bien, ahí aparece Jesús “levantando sus manos y bendiciéndolos” (Lc, 24,50). Esas manos de Jesús que se levantan por encima de la tierra para bendecirnos, es la mejor expresión de su cariño y de su ternura. El amor no se va; el amor se queda. Entre el cielo y la tierra ya no habrá un muro que nos separa sino un gran “espacio acogedor” que nos une con Dios para siempre. “Aquella solemne bendición de Jesús no era sólo para unos apóstoles en un momento preciso; era la bendición del Supremo Sacerdote que antes de entrar en el Sancta Sanctorum de la Jerusalén celeste, nos dejaba una bendición permanente para toda la Humanidad”. (Benedicto XVI).
- – La importancia de la Misión.
Id y haced discípulos a todos los pueblos” Lo que nos manda Jesús a todos sus seguidores es que “hagamos discípulos”. Después vendrá el bautizarles. Hacer discípulos es hacer seguidores de Jesús, coger el soplo, el aliento, el talante de Jesús La lectura asidua y meditada del evangelio nos hace cambiar de vida y nos capacita para la misión. Hoy día, más que nunca, la Iglesia necesita “testigos de la fe”, gente que nos hable de Jesús con alegría, con entusiasmo, con ilusión. Gente que suba al monte de Dios y nos cuente las bellezas que, desde allí ha contemplado. Gente que ha respirado el aire sano y limpio de la montaña e invite a subir a los que sólo respiran aire contaminado de la ciudad. Y, sobre todo, gente que, como nos indica María, estemos dispuestos a “hacer lo que Él nos mande”. Y, en nuestro caso, ir, marchar, salir con gozo a llevar el evangelio a todo el mundo.
