Pentecostés, ciclo A.
Estaba yo un día sentado cerca del monte Toranzo, a la orilla del río Araviana, saqué del agua una piedra hermosa, dura, redonda y la rompí. Su interior estaba completamente seco. Esta piedra llevaba años dentro del agua, pero el agua no había penetrado en ella.
Lo mismo ocurre con nosotros los cristianos. Siempre inmersos en el Espíritu pero, tal vez, por dentro secos.
Hoy es Pentecostés, la fiesta del Espíritu Santo. El Espíritu es el protagonista silencioso pero eficaz de toda la historia de la salvación. Desde la primera página de la Biblia hasta la última el Espíritu Santo lo llena todo, lo penetra todo, lo invade todo. El Espíritu es el maestro interior, el maestro del corazón.
Pentecostés, fiesta del Espíritu, ¿y dónde estaríamos nosotros sin el Espíritu?
Pentecostés, día del nacimiento de la Iglesia, ¿y dónde estaríamos nosotros sin el Espíritu?
Pentecostés, la fiesta de los creyentes, ¿y cómo creeríamos en Jesucristo sin la presencia del Espíritu en nosotros?
"Cuando llegó Pentecostés estaban todos reunido en un mismo lugar".
Con las puertas cerradas. Tenían miedo. Oraban. Se sentían solos.
Esperaban la visita del Espíritu.
"Y dicho esto, exhaló su aliento sobre ellos y les dijo: Recibid el Espíritu Santo".
Se abrieron las puertas y sus bocas para hablar de Jesús.
Ese día Jerusalén presenció la primera y más gloriosa manifestación de su historia.
Pentecostés no es la voz del hombre sino la fuerza del Espíritu.
No es el testimonio del hombre sino el testimonio del Espíritu a favor de Jesús.
Pentecostés, fuego que quema lo viejo y nos hace nacer a lo nuevo.
Pentecostés, viento huracanado que se lleva lo viejo y nos visita con lo nuevo, la vida y la gracia de Dios.
El Pentecostés de los apóstoles lo hemos escuchado muchas veces. Ellos lo vivieron en plenitud y gracias a ellos nosotros lo vivimos también hoy.
Hoy, es nuestro Pentecostés.
Reunidos para que el Espíritu Santo abra nuestras puertas cerradas, abra las prisiones que nosotros hemos hecho. Tú eres una prisión y el carcelero que guarda las ofensas que no puedes perdonar, los miedos que no puedes vencer, los ídolos y supersticiones que nos quieres botar, la carne, prisión secreta en la que vives a gusto. Tú, el carcelero de tus propias debilidades.
Hoy, recibimos el Espíritu de Jesús para abrir la puerta y llenarnos del viento fresco y del fuego que quema todo lo que guardamos en nuestra cárcel.
- Recibir el Espíritu Santo es tener poder para perdonar. La presencia del Espíritu en nosotros es poder de perdonar. Él quema mis pecados y en esta limpieza puedo hacer lo mismo.
- Recibir el Espíritu Santo es tener poder para cantar las hazañas de Dios. Él nos da la valentía y nos enseña el mensaje. No tenemos que inventar nada.
- Recibir el Espíritu Santo es vivir la unidad. Nos necesitamos los unos a los otros porque nadie tiene todos los dones del Espíritu.
- Recibir el Espíritu Santo es dejarse conducir por Él.
- Recibir el Espíritu Santo es ser instrumentos suyos.
