Santísima Trinidad, ciclo A.
Dios se nos presenta en la historia como “Padre”, es decir, como alguien que siempre está dando sin medida su misma vida a su Hijo. Es tan “padre” que su paternidad la ofrece también a los que son hombres como su Hijo, pues éste se ha hecho hombre entre los hombres.
Y así, Dios es Padre que nos llama a la existencia, ofreciéndonos protección, seguridad, libertad y confianza. A veces nos costará entenderle, pero su amor es tan misericordioso que nos convence y nos ofrece total confianza. De hecho, para el evangelista Juan, por encima de su papel de juez, Dios es Padre que ama a sus hijos y los salva. Atrás quedan aquellas imágenes que inspiraban miedo hacia Dios como alguien castigador, implacable, solemne, lejano, severo… para descubrirle como fuente de amor, que hace posible lo imposible, por amor.
Dios se nos manifiesta también como “hermano”, haciéndose carne de nuestra carne, en Jesús. En él vemos que algo tan ilógico, como es que Dios pueda morir, se haga realidad en el Crucificado, gracias a su amor solidario. Juan dice que él es el entregado por el Padre, para que no perezcamos los hombres. Esta es una expresión tan fuerte que habla de una gran connivencia entre el Padre y su Hijo Jesús. Los sentimientos de ambos hacia nosotros son tan amorosos, que el Hijo asume la difícil misión de entrar en el mismo abismo en el que estamos, para sacarnos de él. En esta relación Padre–Hijo, Dios también es fuerza, audacia y libertad, fuente de luz para iluminar y corregir errores… Dios es el Espíritu Santo, es decir, es el mismo Dios hecho don, regalo, favor... Creer en la Trinidad es creer en la fuerza del amor y amar a nuestros hermanos con el mismo amor de Dios.
