Domingo 1º Cuaresma, ciclo A.
Primera tentación:
Jugar con ventaja. Si eres Hijo de Dios, di que estas piedras se conviertan en pan. ¿Por qué vas a pasar hambre si eres el Hijo de Dios? No tienes que trabajar…ni siquiera tienes que molestarte de ir a la panadería a comprarlo. Puedes convertir todas estas piedras en panes ¡Aprovéchate de que eres el hijo de Dios! Y Jesús pensó: ¿Cómo se ganan el pan los pobres, mis hermanos más queridos? “Con el sudor de su rostro”. Yo quiero ser como mis hermanos. No quiero ventajas, ni enchufes, ni recomendaciones, ni privilegios. Quiero ganarme el pan trabajando como ellos. Durante su vida privada, trabajando en un taller. Jesús puede enseñar las manos encallecidas de un obrero. Y usó las herramientas de entonces, las que usaba todo el mundo en su oficio. “En todo semejante a sus hermanos, excepto en el pecado” (Hebreos, 4,15). Es verdad que Jesús multiplicó los panes en el desierto, pero no para Él sino para la gente hambrienta que podría desfallecer en el camino.
Segunda tentación.
Vivir de milagros. “El diablo llevó a Jesús a la ciudad santa, y lo puso en el alero del Templo” y le invitó a tirarse sin miedo porque los ángeles le recogerían. Y Jesús piensa: Si un hermano o una hermana mía se tira del pináculo se rompe la cabeza. Yo no quiero usar de privilegios, sino que quiero, como uno más, seguir las mismas leyes de la gravedad…Y porque no quiero romperme la cabeza, por eso no me tiro. La tentación apunta a un mesianismo fácil, triunfalista. Si te tiras abajo y los ángeles te recogen…serás el más famoso de Israel. Tu fama correrá hasta Roma. Serás grande. Y Jesús piensa en la cantidad de gente sencilla y humilde que ha pasado por la vida haciendo el bien y que se ha muerto sin salir en la prensa, sin tener fama. Y ha trabajado y luchado… Yo quiero ser como ellos. No quiero vivir de milagros. Así, viviendo como los demás, seré más hermano.
Tercera tentación.
No complicarse la vida… Es una tentación grosera, burda. No pudo realizarse así. El Demonio es más listo… «Todo esto te daré”… ¿De dónde se saca el demonio que el mundo es suyo? ¿Dónde tiene el título de propiedad? El mundo es de Dios porque Él lo ha creado… Y más «Si me adoras»… ¿Qué pretensiones son esas de querer poner a Dios a sus pies?… La tentación se la presentó de esta otra manera. Tú tienes un Reino, el reino del bien… Yo tengo otro, el del mal. Yo para el mal uso unas técnicas especiales. Tengo una estrategia que nunca falla: Azuzo las pasiones…, la vanidad, el deseo de poder, la mentira, la violencia, el sexo fácil. Yo no digo que vas a usar estas armas porque son pecado. Pero para ese Reino del bien, usa por favor otros medios… cambia de táctica. No hables tanto de darse, de entregarse, de sacrificio, de servicio desinteresado… Y, sobre todo, ni se te ocurra nombrar la Cruz porque te vas a quedar solo. Puedes llevar a cabo tu obra, pero sin complicarte tanto la vida. Puedes salvarnos lo mismo muriendo en tu cama… sin sufrir tanto… Y Jesús rechaza esta tentación. Él debe seguir el camino que su propio Padre le ha marcado.
