- – La Samaritana va a Jesús con sus prejuicios.
– De tipo cultural. En aquella sociedad un hombre no podía hablar en público con una mujer. Su machismo exagerado no le permite rebajarse y hablar con un ser inferior. Jesús se pone a hablar con ella con toda naturalidad. Él quiere volver al Proyecto original de Dios donde los hombres y las mujeres van a tener la misma dignidad y los mismos derechos al ser “hijos e hijas de Dios”
– De tipo social. Los judíos y los samaritanos no se pueden ver. Hasta el punto que a los judíos les estaba prohibido usar los objetos de los samaritanos: sus vasijas, ya que se contaminarían. Y Jesús no tiene ningún problema de pedir un trago de agua del cántaro de esa mujer. ¿Ves esa agua? No tiene color. Tampoco las personas… Judíos y Samaritanos tenemos el mismo color del agua, el color del amor. Todos somos hermanos.
– De tipo religioso. Sólo tenían por inspirados los cinco primeros libros de la Biblia. Los samaritanos son gente extranjera que se había asentado durante el exilio de Babilonia. Lo cierto es que los dos pueblos no se podían ver. Dice la mujer: Nosotros adoramos a Dios en un templo que tenemos en el monte Garicín y vosotros decís que sólo en el templo de Jerusalén se puede adorar a Dios. A este planteamiento dice Jesús: Ni en el Garicín ni en Jerusalén sino en el corazón de cada uno, es decir, “en espíritu y en verdad”. La religión nunca puede ser motivo de división sino de unión. Cuando dos personas tienen a Dios en el corazón no pueden odiarse, ni distanciarse sino amarse.
- – La Samaritana va a Jesús con su ardiente sed, pero con ganas de cambiar.
Lo que caracteriza a todo hombre y a toda mujer es la sed. Todos tenemos sed: sed de bienestar, de salud, de cariño. En definitiva, sed de felicidad. Lo peor es que, a veces, erramos el camino. Como tú misma lo has errado. Cinco maridos has tenido y el que ahora tienes tampoco es tuyo. Después de ese despilfarro de amor… ¿eres feliz? ¿No te das cuenta de que el cántaro de la felicidad que llenas todas las mañanas con toda ilusión se te queda vacío al atardecer?… Eso les pasa a tantas personas… Quieren llenar su corazón de dinero, de placer, de poder…y no son felices. ¡Si conocieras el don de Dios!… Yo te daría a ti un agua viva, que calma plenamente la sed… Dame, Señor de esa agua… Aquella mujer constató que aquel hombre era distinto de todos los demás. Le llenaba el alma, le llenaba el corazón… se sentía nueva, distinta, sin necesidad de volver al pecado para ser feliz.
- – La Samaritana se convierte en la primera misionera.
Ella es feliz, pero no quiere guardar su felicidad en su corazón, sino llevarla a su pueblo. Ella ha experimentado quien es Jesús y lleva este mensaje a sus paisanos. Ellos mismos se van a convencer de que la mujer les ha dicho la verdad. El apóstol nace de un encuentro al vivo con Jesús. La Samaritana no les dice: Venid a escuchar sino venid a ver, a experimentar. Sólo los convencidos pueden convencer. Sólo los que están llenos, pueden llenar a otros. Sólo los que han hecho una bonita experiencia con Jesús están llamados a contagiar esta misma experiencia.
