ORAR SIEMPRE SIN DESFALLECER
El tema central de este domingo es la oración. La primera lectura, tomada del libro del Éxodo nos ilustra, a través de la figura de Moisés que mantiene las manos alzadas hasta la puesta del sol, la importancia de la perseverancia en la oración. En la misma línea, Lucas, en su evangelio, nos instruye sobre la necesidad de orar con insistencia, sin desfallecer.
La oración para el cristiano no es cualquier cosa ni algo opcional. Al contrario, es una práctica esperada en todo quien se confiesa discípulo de Cristo. En la oración el cristiano no solo expresa su vínculo más profundo con Cristo y experimenta a Dios como Padre misericordioso, sino que también se abre a la esperanza de que sus clamores al cielo pueden ser escuchados y satisfechos.
De los cuatro evangelistas, es Lucas quien presta una atención especial a la dimensión orante de Jesús y quien más enseñanzas ofrece sobre la oración. En este domingo XXIX del Tiempo Ordinario, por medio de la parábola del juez inicuo y la viuda importuna, el evangelista nos invita a su escuela para enseñarnos sobre la necesidad de orar con confianza y perseverancia.
