Domingo XXVI. Tiempo Ordinario. Ciclo B.
Sembrar en medio del mundo el Reino de Dios no es tan complicado: buscar la justicia, luchar contra la pobreza, ayudar a los hermanos los hombres… tratar a los demás como nos gustaría que nos tratasen a nosotros mismos. En eso consiste el Reino de Dios, y cualquier persona que busque y transmita esos valores, estará a favor de Jesús. Quizá esa lección no la aprendieron los discípulos hasta que Juan no se acercó al maestro para informarle que había gente que echaba demonios en su nombre.
Muchos cristianos anónimos que hacen el bien y que nos han quedado ejemplo a lo largo de la historia, son los que siembran de verdad la paz y la justicia, los que quieren un mundo más solidario y fraterno abierto a todos sin distinción de raza, lengua, nación o religión.
Aquél que asista a un seguidor de Jesús tendrá también su recompensa; no corren tiempos fáciles para los cristianos de palabra y obra; sin embargo, otras épocas han sido aún peores. Pero lo que no cabe duda es que es digno de admirar la cantidad de personas, conocidas y no, que dedican su vida y su tiempo a predicar el evangelio, a vivir de un modo cristiano, a asistir a las personas más necesitadas, a rezar por los demás. Quien a ellos asiste, al mismo Jesús asiste.
Tras esta pequeña lección de búsqueda de un mismo objetivo que es el Reino de Dios, Jesús aprieta un poco más las tuercas y pide coherencia de vida: si tu pie te hace caer córtatelo; tomadas en su literalidad resultan crueles, ciertamente; pero es lógico y preferible dejar atrás todo lo que nos hace caer para poder entrar en el Reino de Dios.
La vida del cristiano debe estar marcada por la coherencia; no podemos dejar nuestros criterios o valores dentro del templo, para salir y vivir de un modo radicalmente opuesto; necesitamos valentía y coraje para saber ofrecer al mundo una esperanza y un camino de felicidad.
Vivamos del mejor modo posible el camino de discípulo que nos ofrece Jesús; no olvidemos nuestro objetivo que es ofrecer al mundo la posibilidad de ver cara a cara al mismo Dios y para siempre; y en todo este camino aprovechemos las manos amigas que se nos ofrecen, sean o no cristianos de renombre, y que abogan por la unidad de los hombres.
