A todos y cada uno de vosotros, los obispos de Aragón os dirigimos esta carta, con gratitud y cariño, en este primer domingo de octubre, en el que celebramos el día de la Educación en la Fe que tiene como lema: Jesucristo fuente de la Humanidad Nueva. Vosotros sois prolongación de nuestro ministerio evangelizador en la transmisión de la fe. Sois para nosotros unos colaboradores necesarios para llevar la gozosa esperanza del Evangelio de Jesucristo, Hijo de Dios, Dios como el Padre y el Espíritu Santo, a través de vuestra palabra y vuestro ejemplo, a todos los rincones de las diócesis. Tenemos plena confianza en vosotros; por eso, todos los años realizamos la Celebración del Envío, para que sintáis la fuerza de toda la Iglesia Católica, que os encomienda por medio del obispo de vuestra Diócesis, la hermosa tarea de dar a conocer a Jesucristo y así colaborar en la construcción de una Humanidad Nueva, que brota solamente de Jesucristo muerto y resucitado.
Ved cómo, a vuestro alrededor, todo es viejo y caduco. Como nos decía el Papa “cuando no se camina al lado de Cristo que nos guía, nos dispersamos por otras sendas, como la de nuestros propios impulsos ciegos y egoístas, la de propuestas halagadoras pero interesadas, engañosas y volubles, que dejan vacío y la frustración tras de sí”.
Hemos contemplado, con inmensa alegría, esa Humanidad Nueva, por ejemplo, en el gran número de jóvenes y voluntarios que han participado en la JMJ Madrid 11. Sus rostros, su mirada, sus aplausos, su alegría, su silencio, su oración, su capacidad de afrontar las dificultades… nos emocionaban porque nos ofrecían con sus gestos, sin necesidad de palabras, que ellos vivían unidos a Jesucristo, que seguían sus pasos, que se sentían y eran parte viva de la Iglesia, del futuro cristiano que está viniendo ya.
