Ellos saben que Cristo es la clave para una vida “sólida y estable”. Saben que son “una alternativa válida a tantos como se han venido abajo en la vida, porque los fundamentos de su existencia eran inconsistentes… a tantos que se contentan con seguir las corrientes de moda, se cobijan en el interés inmediato, olvidando la justicia verdadera, o se refugian en pareceres propios en vez de buscar la verdad sin adjetivos”.
El Papa salió al frente de uno de los males de nuestro tiempo: una vida sin Dios, dejándose llevar en cada momento por el parecer caprichoso de cada uno: “Desearían decidir por sí solos lo que es verdad o no, lo que es bueno o malo, lo justo o lo injusto; decidir quien es digno de vivir o puede ser sacrificado en aras de otras preferencias… dejándose llevar por el impulso de cada momento… conducen a algo tan evanescente como una existencia sin horizontes, una libertad sin Dios”.
Vosotros, queridos padres, catequistas, educadores, conocéis bien esta realidad que se extiende por muchos sitios. Os duele, nos duele a todos. Conscientes de esta triste realidad, afirmáis y comunicáis con vuestra vida y vuestras palabras la experiencia del Dios vivo y verdadero, que nos ha creado por amor, que está siempre a nuestro lado, que cuenta con nosotros, que busca siempre nuestro bien y nos impulsa a comunicar a todas las gentes el gran don de la fe que hemos recibido. Arraigados en Cristo, firmes en la fe, estamos edificando la civilización del amor y de la vida, capaz de humanizar a todo hombre. ¡Qué bien lo entendieron los jóvenes venidos de 193 países! Y vosotros también, porque sois partícipes activos de esta gran experiencia de fe, de amor, de fraternidad, de iglesia… que ha sido la JMJ. Allí estabais algunos de vosotros y muchos de vuestros jóvenes.
