Una Iglesia y miles de historias gracias a ti
Tú, que estás leyendo esta página, puedes fijarte en la historia de tu propia vida: vives en un lugar donde, seguro, que hay una parroquia cerca. En ella hay mucha vida.
Desde que naciste, ya tuviste relación con ella. Una relación amplia en la que también entraban tus padres, tus hermanos, tus abuelos y el resto de tu familia… También otras muchas personas.
Fuiste bautizado y, desde ese momento, fuiste acompañado por tus padres y padrinos, catequistas, profesores de religión, sacerdotes, religiosos, monjas y otras personas para vivir de una manera religiosa y feliz. Algunos de ellos ya habrán muerto y seguro que les has agradecido y agradeces todo lo han hecho por ti.
Puedes seguir pensando en otras muchas personas con las que ahora mismo tienes relación. ¿Has pensado que detrás de cada una de ellas, también, hay una historia semejante a la tuya? Y lo más importante: en cada historia está interviniendo Dios y la Iglesia.
Todos pertenecemos a esa misma Iglesia. Millones de personas en todo el mundo que gracias a ti, a tu fe, a tu oración, a tu aportación económica, al servicio que prestas, hacen posible que miles de personas vayan escribiendo su historia de la mano de Dios. Todo es también gracias a ti, porque haces posible el anuncio del Evangelio aquí y en otros países; que se celebren los sacramentos, desde un bautismo hasta un entierro; la catequesis en todas las edades de la vida; vivir en caridad con los pobres, enfermos, encarcelados, las personas sin hogar; también a mantener edificios como catedrales, templos, centros parroquiales, etc.
Debemos darnos gracias mutuas por todo ello: porque nuestra historia está en Dios y porque, colaborando con Dios en la Iglesia, hacemos posible que nuestra Iglesia diocesana se mantenga viva. Gracias por tu fe, por tu servicio y tu aportación económica.
