HOMILÍA
Hoy, los cristianos de todo el mundo, celebramos la Fiesta de la Sagrada Familia. Esa que formaron José, María y Jesús. En estos días pasados les hemos contemplado en Belén, en aquel portal donde nació Jesús, rodeados todos ellos de ángeles que cantaban y de pastores que acudieron presurosos. Pero esa imagen idílica poco tiene que ver con la dura realidad que los tres tuvieron que vivir a partir de aquel instante. No les faltaron penas, tristezas, persecuciones. Tampoco el trabajo, la lucha, el esfuerzo de cada día por salir adelante.
Hoy miramos a las familias del mundo, a nuestras propias familias. Y vemos que muchas de ellas tienen problemas, dificultades económicas, falta de trabajo. Tampoco faltan riñas y enfrentamientos, familias que no se hablan, que viven al margen los unos de los otros; padres e hijos enemistados, hermanos distanciados, parejas que han perdido el amor primero. Y, con esta realidad en las manos y en el corazón, nos dirigimos a la Sagrada Familia y le pedimos por todos los que sufren esas situaciones angustiosas y piensan que nada se puede arreglar. Sabemos que el corazón del Padre Dios se conmueve siempre ante nuestras peticiones. Mucho más, cuando lo que le pedimos es recomponer situaciones, acercar a unos y a otros, poner paz y reconciliación entre los miembros de una familia.
Pidamos sí, por todos. Y sepamos escuchar cuando alguien tenga necesidad de desahogar sus penas y sus problemas. Seamos instrumentos de concordia para acercar a los que están lejos, para poner amor allí donde hay rencor. Y cultivemos, todos, más en los tiempos que corren, el trato y la relación con aquellos a quienes nos unen los lazos de la sangre. No se trata sólo de poner remedio cuando surgen problemas sino, sobre todo, de cultivar la vida familiar de tal manera que sea más difícil que surjan los problemas.
Recordemos a este respecto lo que nos decían las lecturas que hemos escuchado. En la primera de ellas, tomada del libro del Eclesiástico, nos hablaba de cómo deben ser la relaciones entre padres e hijos. Cómo éstos deben profesar respeto y veneración por sus progenitores, cómo deben atenderlos cuando sean ancianos. Quien así lo haga contará, nos decía, con las bendiciones de Dios. La segunda lectura, de la carta a los Colosenses, ponía ante nuestros ojos todo ese cúmulo de virtudes, de actitudes, que es necesario observar para que toda convivencia, también la familiar, sea gozosa: la misericordia, la bondad, la humildad, la dulzura, la comprensión, el perdón, la paz. Y el evangelio nos ha dicho que Jesús vivió en Nazaret, en el seno de una familia, rodeado del amor de unos padres, bajo la mirada del Padre Dios.
