HOMILÍA
Hace unos días fue Navidad y tuvimos la oportunidad de celebrar la fiesta del Nacimiento de Jesús. Hoy, somos convocados de nuevo para hacer memoria de que, ese Jesús que nació en Belén, lo hizo en el seno de una familia como las nuestras. La conocemos con el nombre de la “Sagrada Familia” y hoy somos llamados a invocarla, a poner en sus manos a las nuestras, a rezar por tantas otras que lo están pasando mal, que no tienen trabajo o en las que hay tensiones y rupturas. Esa Sagrada Familia de la que formaron parte Jesús, José y María es hoy para nosotros un modelo en el que fijarnos y es también una familia a la que dirigirnos en nuestra plegaria confiada.
La palabra de Dios que hoy hemos escuchado nos invita a la reflexión y al compromiso. La primera de ellas la hemos tomado del libro del Eclesiástico. Nos ha hablado del respeto que merecen los padres y del cúmulo de bendiciones que acompaña a todo aquel hijo que cuida de sus padres, que les trata con cariño, que les ayuda. Hagámoslo nosotros así. Si tenemos la suerte de que vivan nuestros padres, honrémosles con nuestras palabras, con nuestras actitudes, con nuestros hechos. Los años pueden llevarles a no tener la fuerza, el vigor de sus años jóvenes pero no dejan de ser nuestros padres que merecen recibir lo que ellos nos dieron con creces cuando pudieron.
La segunda lectura la hemos tomado de la carta que San Pablo escribió a los cristianos de la ciudad de Colosas. Nos ha hablado de esa otra familia que formamos los cristianos. Invocando a Dios como “Padre Nuestro” estamos diciendo que, entre nosotros, somos hermanos y que, como tales, debemos vivir y comportarnos. El apóstol nos hablaba de ese conjunto de virtudes que estamos llamados a poner en práctica: la humildad, la dulzura, la comprensión. También el perdón, el amor y la paz. No se olvidaba de recordarles a ellos y de recordarnos a nosotros que, como hermanos que comparten una misma fe, hemos de juntarnos para celebrar la Acción de Gracias, la Eucaristía.
El relato del evangelio lo hemos tomado este año del evangelista San Mateo que nos ha recordado el episodio de la huida a Egipto porque el rey Herodes buscaba a Jesús para matarlo. También nos ha hablado de su vuelta a Nazaret, el lugar escogido para vivir y el que daría nombre al propio Jesús que sería conocido como “Jesús de Nazaret”. Allí, en ese humilde lugar de Galilea, Jesús vivirá en familia su niñez, adolescencia y juventud, aprenderá un oficio y, desde ese sitio, se lanzará un día por los caminos de Palestina anunciando el Evangelio, proclamando que Dios es un Padre que nos quiere y que todos somos hermanos. Pidamos que esta Sagrada Familia bendiga hoy las nuestras y que las llene de todo lo bueno que nos han recordado estas lecturas.
