DOMINGO 2º DE PASCUA
Leyendo las lecturas de hoy, Domingo II de Pascua, me pregunto dónde está la Divina Misericordia. Y este preguntar exige un contestar. La respuesta es el reto para hoy. Aunque ya anticipo que esta Misericordia que hoy celebramos y que es el motivo de todo un Año Jubilar Extraordinario, ya está cumplida por parte de Dios, queda acogerla, vivirla y proclamarla.
La misericordia está en la presencia de la Iglesia apostólica y, en concreto, en Pedro que tan solo con su sombra, ya cura. La misericordia está en la historia y, por ello, es historia de salvación, cuajada de milagros y que cambia su sentido en el “milagro patente” que es la glorificación del Hijo por su Resurrección y su Ascensión a los cielos. La misericordia está en el silencio de la oración tenida en el destierro. Un destierro que, en el día del Señor, se convierte en éxtasis y lleva a Juan a oír y escribir las palabras del mismo Dios: “No temas”. La misericordia está en el “paz a vosotros” y en el envío a perdonar los pecados. Está en el Espíritu Santo y en la paciencia de Jesucristo con Tomás a quien no duda en enseñar sus llagas gloriosas. La misericordia está en la fe de los que “crean sin haber visto”, ya que este creer conlleva la vida en nombre de “Jesús, el Mesías, el Hijo de Dios”.
Los misericordiados –perdón por el palabro– estamos llamados hoy por el mismo Jesucristo a ser misericordiosos y, por tanto, me atrevo incluso a decir que una respuesta a la pregunta inicial acerca de dónde está la misericordia es la afirmación de que la misericordia está presente en los cristianos, como Cristo está presente en sus discípulos. De esta proposición surge un nuevo reto: quien se pregunte por la Divina Misericordia, mirando a cualquiera de nosotros que estamos celebrando la Pascua con toda clase de aleluyas, debe poder conmoverse al descubrir que el amor del Padre no es un concepto ni una representación, sino la sangre que anima la vida de la Iglesia.
