HOMILÍA
Hemos escuchado las lecturas propias del primer domingo de Adviento, el tiempo de la espera y de la esperanza, de la escucha atenta de la Palabra de Dios y de la plegaria confiada, de la vigilancia. Y todo ello, con la vista puesta en la fiesta de la Navidad, en la que celebraremos que todo un Dios se hace niño indefenso y frágil, rodeado de las atenciones y de los cuidados de María y de José. Este hecho nos ha de impulsar a ir preparando el corazón para que, aquel niño que nació en Belén, pueda nacer también en nuestras vidas, en nuestras familias, en nuestro pueblo y en este mundo nuestro tan necesitado de él.
La primera lectura la hemos tomado del profeta Isaías. Considera a Dios como un Padre y a los seres humanos como hombres y mujeres necesitados de perdón y de reconciliación. Pide, con fuerza, que se rasgue el cielo y que ese Dios se haga presente en la historia humana para sanarla, para purificarla, para llenarla de paz. Dios es un alfarero, llega a decir, y nosotros barro en sus manos. Dejemos que nos modele a su imagen y semejanza; recemos con las palabras de uno de nuestros cantos: “Yo quiero ser, señor amado, como el barro en manos del alfarero. Toma mi vida, hazla de nuevo. Yo quiero ser un vaso nuevo.”
En la segunda lectura, de San Pablo a los cristianos de Corinto, encontramos esta frase sugerente: “No carecéis de ningún don vosotros que aguardáis la manifestación de nuestro Señor Jesucristo”. ¡Ojala que se pueda decir lo mismo de nosotros que también esperamos la venida de Jesús! Esforcémonos por ir adquiriendo esos dones que nos permitirán acogerle en la próxima navidad.
El relato del Evangelio de San Marcos nos ha recordado una de las actitudes propias de este tiempo de Adviento: la espera, la vigilancia activa, el anhelo por salir a su encuentro, personal y comunitariamente.
