HOMILÍA
Hemos escuchado las lecturas propias del domingo que hace el número once del tiempo ordinario. El pecado y el mal, que hacemos los seres humanos, ha estado muy presente, pero también el perdón y la misericordia que el Señor está dispuesto a derramar sobre cada uno de nosotros si le hacemos la ofrenda de un corazón arrepentido. Hace apenas unos días, el Papa Francisco decía, con fuerza, en el tradicional rezo del ángelus: "El Señor nos mira siempre con misericordia, nos espera con misericordia. ¡No tengamos miedo de acercarnos a Él! ¡Tiene un corazón misericordioso! Si le mostramos nuestras heridas interiores, nuestros pecados, Él nos perdona siempre. ¡Es pura misericordia! No olvidemos esto."
La primera lectura la hemos tomado del segundo libro de Samuel y nos ha contado el gravísimo pecado que había cometido el rey David al propiciar la muerte de un marido para poder casarse con su esposa. El arrepentimiento mostrado, tras la dura réplica del profeta Natán, hace posible el perdón. Cada uno de nosotros sabe cuáles son sus pecados, sus faltas. No olvidemos lo que nos decía el Papa: “El Señor nos mira siempre con misericordia. Él nos perdona siempre.” Acerquémonos con frecuencia al sacramento del perdón, confesemos nuestros pecados, sintamos el daño causado, propongámonos ser mejores, cumplamos la penitencia que nos ha sido impuesta y recuperemos la alegría de sabernos perdonados y con la fuerza necesaria para perdonar.
La segunda lectura, de San Pablo a los cristianos de Galacia, nos recordaba hasta qué punto somos amados por un Jesús que se entregó por nosotros hasta el final, hasta dar su vida. Sabernos amados por Dios nos tiene que dar fuerza para dejar el camino del mal. Es Dios el que se adelanta a perdonarnos, Él es que nos tiende la mano, Él es el que nos justifica. A nosotros nos toca aceptar con humildad ese perdón, cogernos con fuerza a su mano y agradecer el amor que derrama en nuestros corazones.
El relato del evangelio de San Lucas nos ha contado el episodio de la mujer pecadora que lava los pies de Jesús con sus lágrimas de arrepentimiento. Ante la extrañeza de muchos de los presentes, Jesús pronuncia palabras de perdón, fruto del amor que aquella mujer había sabido llevar a la práctica. “Sus muchos pecados están perdonados porque tiene mucho amor” dice Jesús. Tengamos en cuenta estas palabras del maestro. Si queremos que nuestros pecados, pocos o muchos, sean perdonados, debemos esforzarnos para que el amor brote con fuerza en nuestras relaciones con los demás. El amor ha de ser nuestro signo distintivo. Pidamos al Señor que nos ayude a salir de nuestros egoísmos personales y a abrirnos a su gracia que nos salva y justifica.
