HOMILÍA
Hemos escuchado las lecturas propias del domingo que hace el número trece del tiempo ordinario. Un domingo en el que, muchos, están comenzando sus vacaciones, siguiendo los pasos de los niños y jóvenes que han dejado ya las aulas escolares para disfrutar de la naturaleza, de la playa o la piscina. Sabemos que la Palabra de Dios no se interrumpe, que todos los domingos llega hasta nosotros y nos invita a la reflexión y al compromiso. Hoy nos hablaba de un Dios que ama la vida y a los seres que ha creado, que está cerca de los que sufren; sintámonos amados por ese Dios, ya sea disfrutando de unas merecidas vacaciones o visitados por el dolor y la enfermedad. Dejemos que los textos bíblicos, escuchados hoy, nos hagan bien y nos den paz.
La primera lectura la hemos tomado del libro de la Sabiduría, un libro que encierra las claves para alcanzar una vida feliz en esta tierra y para llegar un día a la patria definitiva. Hoy nos recordaba que Dios nos hizo para la inmortalidad, que las criaturas de este mundo son saludables, que no hay en ellas veneno de muerte; pero también nos hablaba de una realidad muy presente en nuestro mundo y en cada uno de nosotros, una realidad que provoca el enfrentamiento y las luchas entre los seres humanos: se refería a la envidia que hace que la ruptura y la separación nos lleven a la muerte, a esa muerte que hace que vivamos como si el otro no existiera, como si hubiera fallecido para nosotros. No dejemos que la envidia se apodere de nuestro corazón.
La segunda lectura tenía como destinatarios a los corintios y como autor al apóstol Pablo. En esta ocasión les recordaba la importancia de la generosidad. Les ponía el ejemplo de Cristo que “siendo rico se hizo pobre por nosotros” y les impulsaba a compartir lo que eran y lo que tenían con aquellos que pasaban necesidad. ¡Qué bien nos viene escuchar estas palabras en los tiempos de crisis económica en la que vivimos! Si tenemos, demos. ¡Quién sabe si en un futuro, más o menos lejano, somos nosotros los que necesitamos que otros nos ayuden! No se trata de pasar estrecheces, como decía el apóstol, se trata de igualar. Nuestra generosidad de hoy es la semilla de la ayuda que un día recibiremos de los demás.
El relato del evangelio de San Marcos nos ha hablado de la cercanía del Señor al mundo del dolor, del sufrimiento y de la muerte. Dejemos que nuestro corazón se conmueva ante la miseria y el sufrimiento que a tantos afecta. No pasemos de largo. Convirtámonos en buenos samaritanos que saben acercarse al que lo está pasando mal, que le ayudan más allá de toda medida, sin que importe que sea amigo o enemigo. “Haz bien sin mirar a quien” es uno de nuestros refranes que resume muy bien el pensamiento de Jesús a este respecto.
