HOMILÍA
Estamos en el primer domingo del mes de julio, mes de vacaciones para muchos. Un domingo en el que la Iglesia celebra la Jornada de Responsabilidad en el Tráfico. Este año bajo el lema: “Cuida de él. Buenos samaritanos en el camino.” Muchos cogerán el coche para ir a su lugar de descanso. La carretera es un lugar de encuentro. Pero, a veces también, de accidentes, de tragedias que rompen familias. Por eso, se nos hace una llamada a la prudencia, a la responsabilidad, a ayudarnos unos a otros cuando la situación lo requiera.
La primera lectura la hemos tomado del profeta Ezequiel. Acompañando a su pueblo en el destierro, siente que Dios le llama a ser luz y guía para los suyos. Su misión no va a ser fácil. En ocasiones, sentirá el rechazo de aquellos a los que quiere ayudar pero no deberá abandonar la tarea encomendada. También hoy, entre nosotros, contamos con la presencia de profetas que nos recuerdan lo que Dios espera de cada uno de nosotros. Hagámosles caso para nuestro bien.
La segunda lectura, de San Pablo a los Corintios, también nos ha hablado de las dificultades que encuentra el apóstol para cumplir su misión, pero siente en su interior la voz de Jesús que le dice: “Te basta mi gracia. La fuerza se realiza en la debilidad.” La debilidad de l0s enviados de Dios se compensa con la fuerza del Señor que les acompaña. Él no les deja solos en el trabajo encomendado.
El relato del evangelio de Marcos nos ha contado cómo también Jesús, al igual que Ezequiel y San Pablo, sintió la dificultad que todo enviado vive al realizar su misión. Y, en ocasiones, el rechazo no viene de los extraños, sino de la gente de su propia tierra: “No desprecian a un profeta más que en su tierra, entre sus parientes y en su casa.” Recemos hoy para que, la labor de los profetas de todos los tiempos, dé fruto.
