HOMILÍA
El pasado miércoles, con ese rito simbólico de la imposición de la ceniza sobre nuestras cabezas, comenzamos el tiempo litúrgico de la Cuaresma. El Papa Francisco nos acaba de decir con este motivo: “La Cuaresma es un tiempo favorable para la renovación personal y comunitaria que nos conduce hacia la Pascua de Jesucristo muerto y resucitado. Para nuestro camino cuaresmal de 2022 nos hará bien reflexionar sobre la exhortación de san Pablo a los gálatas: «No nos cansemos de hacer el bien, porque, si no desfallecemos, cosecharemos los frutos a su debido tiempo. Por tanto, mientras tenemos la oportunidad, hagamos el bien a todos».
La primera lectura la hemos tomado del libro del Deuteronomio. Allí se nos hablaba de ese Dios que, amando intensamente a su pueblo, le impulsa a ponerse en camino hacia la liberación. Esto es la Cuaresma: estar dispuestos a salir de nuestra vida de pecado y de esclavitud con la vista puesta en esa nueva realidad en la que el amor vencerá al odio, en el que el bien se impondrá sobre toda forma de mal, en el que el prójimo ocupará el lugar privilegiado que le corresponde.
La segunda lectura, de San Pablo a los Romanos, nos recordaba que, esa Palabra de Dios tan cercana a cada uno de nosotros, nos guía en el camino de la vida. En este tiempo cuaresmal acerquémonos a esa Palabra, reflexiónenos sobre ella, preguntémonos qué es lo que nos está pidiendo a cada uno de nosotros. Una Palabra que se hace oración.
El relato del evangelio de Lucas, el de las tentaciones a las que fue sometido Jesús, quiere ser una imagen de esas otras tentaciones que nos impulsan a nosotros a caminar por el camino del mal. Sepamos vencer esas tentaciones haciendo nuestras las palabras del Padre Nuestro: “No nos dejes caer en la tentación y líbranos del mal.”
