HOMILÍA
Celebra hoy la Iglesia el segundo domingo después de Navidad. Un domingo que recoge el eco de todos los grandes acontecimientos que estamos viviendo en estos días. Ha pasado la Navidad, la fiesta de la Sagrada Familia, el comienzo de un Año Nuevo y hoy estamos aquí, reunidos en torno al altar, para seguir creciendo en fraternidad, en comunidad cristiana; para que, esa Palabra de Dios que hemos escuchado y ese pan de la Eucaristía que recibiremos, alienten nuestros pasos en esta nueva andadura que el Señor nos presenta.
La primera lectura la hemos tomado del libro del Eclesiástico. Nos ha hablado de esa Sabiduría del corazón que es un don que el Señor nos concede si se lo pedimos con fe. Una sabiduría que nos conducirá por el camino del bien. También podemos pensar que esa Sabiduría, que está llamada a habitar en medio de su pueblo, es nada más y nada menos que ese Dios hecho hombre, hecho niño, Jesús. Él nos enseñará quién es ese Padre Dios, cuánto nos ama, cuál es el camino para ir a su encuentro y cuál es la oración con la que podemos hablarle: el Padre Nuestro.
La segunda lectura, de la carta de San Pablo a los cristianos de Éfeso, ha constituido un canto de alabanza a ese Dios Padre que nos ha enviado a su Hijo Jesús. También nosotros, según el apóstol, estamos llamados a ser hijos de ese Padre, a ser hermanos de aquellos que comparten nuestra fe. Un día descubriremos cuál es la esperanza a la que nos llama y cuál la riqueza de gloria que da en herencia a los santos.
El relato del evangelio de Juan nos ha hablado de lo mismo que los evangelistas Lucas y Mateo nos están hablando estos días pero con un lenguaje un tanto misterioso en el que Jesús aparece como el “Verbo” que se ha hecho carne y se ha dignado vivir entre nosotros. Él es la luz que ha venido a iluminar nuestras vidas y las de la humanidad entera.
