HOMILÍA
Estamos metidos de lleno en el llamado “Tiempo Pascual.” El tiempo en el que hacemos memoria de Jesús Resucitado y en el que la alegría y el gozo ocupan un lugar muy importante en nuestra vivencia cristiana. Cierto que sigue habiendo dolores y sufrimientos pero somos conscientes de que la Pasión es el camino de la Resurrección. Que la muerte no tiene la última palabra y que, el Cristo que fue ayudado por el Cirineo y por la Verónica, nos acompaña en el camino de la vida, nos ayuda a llevar nuestras cruces y nos abre el camino a la esperanza.
La primera lectura la hemos tomado del libro de los Hechos de los Apóstoles. Nos ha hecho una descripción de cómo eran y de cómo vivían los cristianos que constituyeron las primeras comunidades en torno a Jesús Resucitado. Lo primero que nos llama la atención es que “tenían un solo corazón y una sola alma”. Vamos, que se querían, que se preocupaban los unos de los otros, que compartían mutuamente sus bienes, que nadie pasaba necesidad y que no perdían ocasión de anunciar a sus contemporáneos que Jesús había resucitado. Fijémonos en ellos, seamos como ellos, amemos como ellos.
La segunda lectura, del Apóstol San Juan, nos ha venido a decir que amar a Dios y al prójimo implica cumplir los mandamientos. Que no podemos decir que amamos a Dios si hacemos daño o nos mostramos indiferentes ante cualquier persona que pase a nuestro lado.
El relato del evangelio de Juan ha tenido dos partes. En la primera, Jesús se aparece a los suyos saludándoles con un deseo de paz y dándoles el poder de perdonar los pecados. La segunda, tiene como protagonista al apóstol Tomas que, no habiendo estado la vez anterior, se niega a creer lo que los demás le aseguran: Que Cristo ha estado con ellos. Se convencerá sólo cuando le vea: “Señor mío y Dios mío” dirá avergonzado
