HOMILÍA
Las lecturas de este domingo, veinte del tiempo ordinario, que acabamos de escuchar, han hecho referencia a los que vienen de fuera, a los que son de lejos, a los que no comparten nuestra cultura, nuestra lengua y nuestra religión. Hoy la Palabra de Dios nos invita a mirarles a todos ellos con respeto, con cariño, como hermanos con los que estamos llamados a construir un mundo mejor. Hermanos a los que estamos convocados a anunciar la fe que nos anima, el amor que nos impulsa y la esperanza que nos sustenta. A los que vienen de lejos tenemos que hacerlos próximos a nosotros “geográficamente”, sí, pero también “vivencialmente” por el amor que seamos capaces de compartir con ellos.
La primera lectura la hemos tomado del libro del profeta Isaías. Siglos antes de la venida de Jesús ya se hablaba de extranjeros, de no judíos, que compartían la fe del pueblo Israelita y que contaban con la aceptación y la bendición de Dios. Hoy, cuando hablamos de la Fe en Jesús, miramos al mundo entero, a los cinco continentes, a los sitios más alejados, a personas de toda raza, cultura, formas de ser y de pensar. En todos ellos hay pequeñas o grandes comunidades de cristianos que comparten su fe, que escuchan juntos la Palabra de Dios, que comparten la Eucaristía dominical.
La segunda lectura la hemos tomado de la carta que San Pablo escribió a la comunidad cristiana de Roma. También él hablaba de los gentiles; de los que, no siendo judíos, aceptaban a Jesús y querían vivir el evangelio. Sabemos que la salvación es para todos y que a todos les debe llegar el anuncio del evangelio. Todos deben tener la oportunidad de reunirse en Iglesias como ésta para compartir juntos una misma fe, una misma eucaristía. El pasado día 15, nuestra Iglesia Diocesana de Jaca, hizo una colecta para ayudar a mantener esos lugares en los que los cristianos nos venimos reuniendo para celebrar nuestra fe.
El relato del evangelio, como no podía ser de otra manera, también nos ha hablado de una mujer, venida de otro país, que se encuentra con Jesús y que, ante la necesidad que tiene, no duda en pedir ayuda al profeta de Nazaret. El inicial y aparente rechazo de Jesús no hace sino afianzar la determinación de esta mujer que sabe que, “aunque el pan de los hijos no se debe echar a los perros”, tiene derecho, como ellos, “a las migajas que caen de la mesa de los amos”. La fe de esta mujer quedó en las páginas del evangelio como un ejemplo para propios y extraños y consiguió la curación de su hija. Pidamos al Señor y a santa María, nuestra Madre, cuya fiesta de su Asunción a los cielos, celebramos el pasado día 15 , que nuestra fe sea como la de esta mujer.
