HOMILÍA
En pleno mes de agosto, en vísperas de la fiesta grande de la Asunción de Nuestra Señora a los cielos, cuando nuestra diócesis de Jaca llama a nuestro corazón y a nuestro bolsillo en la colecta “Pro Reconstrucción de Templos Parroquiales”, hemos escuchado las lecturas propias del domingo veinte del tiempo ordinario. Textos del antiguo y del nuevo testamento nos interpelan y nos hacen preguntarnos en qué medida nos afectan a cada uno de nosotros.
La primera lectura la hemos tomado del profeta Jeremías. Sus palabras, sus discursos, llamando la atención de la gente, no siempre fueron bien recibidos por aquellos que rechazaban los planes de Dios sobre sus vidas y sus personas. El texto de hoy nos habla de que, los partidarios de su muerte, fueron haciéndose con el poder y a punto estuvo de morir. El Señor le salvó. ¡Cuántas veces les pasa lo mismo a los profetas de nuestros días! Recemos por ellos.
La segunda lectura, de la carta a los Hebreos, nos ha presentado la vida cristiana como una carrera que un atleta hace en el estadio. Estamos llamados a esforzarnos por llegar a la meta. Esa meta que es Cristo. Muchas personas nos miran y se fijan en cómo vivimos nuestra fe. Demos el ejemplo que se espera de nosotros. No perdamos el ánimo y hagamos cuanto esté en nuestras manos para vencer el mal a fuerza de bien porque no siempre nos esforzamos lo suficiente para conseguirlo.
El relato del evangelio de Lucas nos ha transmitido unas palabras salidas del corazón del mismo Cristo. Él ha venido a hacer el bien, a construir la paz pero es consciente de que los cristianos no siempre seguimos sus pasos y de que, entre nosotros, hay divisiones, enfrentamientos y luchas, tanto en el seno de nuestras familias como entre aquellos que debiéramos saber tratar como buenos samaritanos.
