HOMILÍA
En este primer domingo del mes de Septiembre hemos escuchado las lecturas propias del domingo veintitrés del tiempo ordinario. Un domingo que nos habla de la vuelta al colegio de los más pequeños, del fin de las vacaciones para muchos, del reencuentro con el trabajo para aquellos que lo tienen, de la reanudación de las actividades parroquiales y pastorales en todas las parroquias y comunidades cristianas. También en nuestra Diócesis de Jaca. Todo se pone de nuevo en movimiento. Bueno es que nos vayamos preparando para todas estas cosas y que nos preguntemos qué es lo que podemos aportar y ofrecer a nuestra comunidad parroquial: quizás nuestro tiempo, nuestros conocimientos, nuestra disponibilidad…
La primer lectura la hemos tomado del libro del profeta Ezequiel, el profeta que acompañó a su pueblo en el destierro en Babilonia y alentó al esperanza de los suyos en una próxima vuelta a la patria. En el texto que hoy nos ha sido proclamado, el profeta se siente como un centinela, un vigilante que debe dar la voz de alarma cuando el enemigo se acerca o cuando el peligro acecha. Todo centinela tiene una responsabilidad. De él depende la suerte de muchos. ¿Quiénes son hoy los centinelas? Son los padres respecto de sus hijos, los profesores con sus alumnos, los sacerdotes en sus parroquias y, en general, todos los adultos respecto a los más pequeños. También los amigos con sus amigos. Hermosa misión ésta de ser centinelas. Hermosa, pero comprometedora, porque no es fácil llamar la atención, corregir, dar la voz de alarma cuando las cosas no van bien.
Corregir al otro es una forma de amarle. Así nos lo recordaba San Pablo en la segunda lectura. El que ama está cumpliendo toda la ley. El que ama no hace daño a su prójimo, no le miente, no le roba, no utiliza la violencia, no le insulta. Hagamos un especial hincapié en amar al prójimo que está a nuestro lado más que en evitar hacerle daño con nuestras palabras y nuestras obras.
El relato del evangelio de San Mateo también ha hecho referencia, como la primera lectura, al tema de la corrección fraterna. Como tal corrección, dolerá, es verdad, a aquel que la recibe como nos dolerá a nosotros si es otro el que nos corrige. Pero esa corrección, hemos escuchado, ha de ser fraterna. Ha de ser hecha, pues, con delicadeza, con amor. No ha de haber lugar para los gritos, para el sentirnos más y mejores que el otro. Dos frases de este evangelio nos llaman también la atención: Una de ellas decía que si dos de nosotros se ponen de acuerdo para pedir algo, se lo concederá el Padre del cielo y otra que allí donde estemos reunidos los cristianos, allí está también Cristo. Recemos, pues, todos unidos, convencidos de la presencia viva de Jesús.
