HOMILÍA
Estamos metidos ya de lleno en el mes de septiembre. Por delante, tenemos un nuevo curso pastoral que está a punto de comenzar. ¡Cómo no recordar la catequesis a la que están llamados los niños que se quieren preparar para hacer la Primera Comunión y los adolescentes que piensan en la Confirmación! ¡Cómo no hacer mención de la Escuela de Formación Cristiana, las llamadas Clases de Teología para adultos, en las que todos tendremos la oportunidad de renovar conocimientos religiosos o de adquirirlos! Y de tantas otras cosas de las que iremos informando poco a poco. Preguntemos en nuestra Parroquia.
La primera lectura la hemos tomado del Profeta Ezequiel. Él se sabe llamado a ejercer la misión que todo centinela tiene: la de avisar de un posible peligro, de la venida de un enemigo. Como centinela, el profeta estará encargado de llamar la atención a aquellos cuyo comportamiento no es el correcto. Los padres, los profesores, los sacerdotes y tantas otras personas corregirán hoy, con amor, las malas conductas de aquellos que están a su cuidado. Es una obligación ineludible.
La segunda lectura, de San Pablo a los Romanos, nos recuerda que todos tenemos una deuda permanente de amor con las personas que están a nuestro alrededor. “Amarás a tu prójimo como a ti mismo” es una de esas sentencias que nunca pasarán de moda y que encierran una gran dosis de sabiduría; como aquella otra que dice: “No hagas a los demás lo que a ti no te agrada”. Tengámoslas presentes en nuestra memoria.
El relato del evangelio de Mateo nos ha enseñado cómo debemos hacer la llamada “corrección fraterna.” Si el hermano se equivoca, procuremos corregirle con amor. Nada de humillarle, de herirle, o de publicar, a los cuatro vientos, sus defectos. Sobre todo, si al hacerlo, nos llegamos a sentir más o mejores que él. Oremos los unos por los otros.
