HOMILÍA
Las lecturas del domingo veinticuatro del tiempo ordinario han sido proclamadas en nuestra asamblea. Bueno es que ahora y, en los días que están por venir, dediquemos un tiempo a la reflexión y al compromiso. ¿Qué me dice el Señor a mí? ¿Qué hay en mi vida que no concuerda con la enseñanza recibida? ¿Qué cosas debo cambiar en mi comportamiento, en mis relaciones con el Señor y con el prójimo?
La primera lectura la hemos tomado del libro del Éxodo en el que hemos podido ver cómo las personas dejamos, en ocasiones, de obrar el bien y dirigimos nuestros pasos por el camino más fácil y cómodo del mal. El Señor, que parece en un principio dispuesto al castigo, recibe la plegaria de Moisés que intercede por su pueblo. El corazón de Dios se conmueve y del castigo pasa al perdón. ¡Ojalá que nosotros también sepamos interceder por aquellos que obran el mal! Sobre todo, si se trata de familiares y amigos nuestros que andan por caminos equivocados.
La segunda lectura, de San Pablo a Timoteo, también nos ha hablado del pecado y del mal, tan presentes en la vida de los seres humanos, pero no han dejado de sonar palabras como compasión, perdón, salvación, que el Señor nos brinda. Seamos conscientes del mal realizado, sí, pero que la confianza nos ayude a ver a Dios, con los brazos siempre abiertos, para acogernos tras nuestro arrepentimiento.
El evangelio de Lucas nos ha recordado, a través de una serie de parábolas, que el arrepentimiento produce un inmenso gozo en el corazón de Dios: como la alegría que siente el pastor que ha encontrado la oveja perdida o la mujer que encuentra la moneda extraviada o el padre que puede abrazar de nuevo al hijo que vuelve a casa tras haber roto la amistad y haber dejado a la familia. El mal existe y caemos en él, pero también contamos con el perdón y la misericordia por parte de Dios.
