HOMILÍA
Un domingo más, nos ponemos a la escucha de la Palabra de Dios. Vamos a confrontar nuestra vida, nuestro comportamiento, nuestras actitudes, con lo que, los distintos textos bíblicos, nos han proclamado. Bueno es saber lo que hacemos y lo que tenemos que hacer. La Palabra de Dios, escuchada cada domingo, es una guía que nos indica el camino. No siempre será fácil seguir sus dictados, pero sabemos que contamos con la ayuda del mismo Dios que nos dará la fuerza necesaria para vencer nuestras apetencias personales y abrirnos a su voluntad
La primera lectura la hemos tomado del profeta Isaías. Dos frases destacan por encima de las demás: “Buscad al Señor, invocadlo” y también: “Que el malvado abandone su camino y el malhechor sus planes.” No es fácil buscar al Señor cuando hay tantas cosas en este mundo que nos seducen, que nos ocupan y preocupan, sin que terminen de darnos la felicidad que buscamos. Descubramos la novedad de ese Dios que sale a nuestro encuentro y que, con palabras prestadas de san Agustín, nos dice que “no le buscaríamos si no le hubiéramos encontrado”. Un Dios que nos invita a dejar los caminos del mal para transitar por aquellos otros, exigentes y comprometidos, sí, pero que nos llevarán a la plenitud de la felicidad.
La segunda lectura, de San Pablo a los cristianos de Filipos, nos recuerda un doble sentimiento que anida en el corazón del Apóstol. Por un lado desea estar, cuanto antes, con Cristo pero, por otro, sabe que tiene una labor que realizar con esa comunidad. Quedémonos con la frase final en la que dice que: “Lo importante es que vosotros llevéis una vida digna del evangelio de Cristo.” Hagamos nuestra esta frase.
El relato del evangelio de San Mateo nos ha contado la parábola de los jornaleros, contratados a distintas horas del día, que, al final, reciben el mismo salario. Nos es fácil, humanamente, comprender la actitud del dueño de la viña pero, debemos ser conscientes, de que el premio está en el hecho de ser contratados. Cuando fue elegido Papa Benedicto XVI dijo: “Soy un humilde servidor de la viña del Señor”. Eso es lo deberíamos considerarnos todos: humildes servidores de la viña del Señor que recibiremos el salario correspondiente, no tanto a nuestro trabajo, sino a la bondad de corazón de quien nos ha contratado. En este día ofrezcamos al Señor nuestra disponibilidad para entrar a su servicio.
