HOMILÍA
En este domingo, veinticinco del Tiempo Ordinario, la Iglesia celebra la llamada “Jornada Mundial del Migrante y del Refugiado” con el lema: “Libres de elegir si migrar o quedarse”. En ocasiones, sabemos, es muy duro tener que dejar la propia tierra y la familia, para ir a un lugar lejano en busca de unas mejores condiciones de vida. Bueno es que, los que los recibimos, lo hagamos con la hospitalidad y la acogida con la que a nosotros nos gustaría que otros nos aceptaran. Ellos son hermanos que nos necesitan. Abramos nuestros brazos para atenderles.
La primera lectura la hemos tomado del profeta Isaías. Nos ha venido a decir que nosotros somos emigrantes en busca de ese Dios que se deja encontrar. Ese Dios a quien podemos invocar mientras está cerca. Ese Dios que nos invita a abandonar el mal camino, a convertirnos, sabiendo que nuestros planes no siempre coinciden con los planes que Él tiene para cada uno de nosotros. Que la plegaria nos una.
La segunda lectura, de San Pablo a los cristianos de Filipos. El Apóstol les confiesa que está en un dilema que no sabe cómo resolver: Por un lado desea vivamente estar con Cristo. Por otro, sabe que esos cristianos le necesitan para conocer mejor a Jesús y vivir de acuerdo con sus enseñanzas. Lo importante, les dice, “es que vosotros llevéis una vida digna del evangelio de Cristo”. Este mensaje también es para nosotros.
El evangelio de Mateo nos ha recordado una parábola de Jesús en la que podemos ver cómo el dueño de una viña va llamando, a distintas horas del día, a jornaleros para trabajar en esa viña. La sorpresa viene al final, cuando todos reciben el mismo salario. Los que más horas han trabajado se quejan, pero el dueño le dice a cada uno. ¿”Vas a tener tú envidia porque yo soy bueno”? Nosotros somos los que, llamados a última hora, recibiremos el salario completo por el trabajo bien hecho.
