HOMILÍA
Comenzamos el mes de octubre, mes del Rosario, y seguimos reflexionando sobre las lecturas de este tiempo ordinario que, cada domingo, se nos proclaman. Pidamos a Santa María, nuestra Madre, que, lo escuchado, se haga vida en nosotros, que cale en lo más profundo de nuestro ser, que nos ayude a crecer en nuestra fe, que haga posible que, nuestro testimonio cristiano, impacte en las vidas y en las personas de aquellos con los que convivimos. Como alguien dijo un día: “Nosotros somos el único evangelio que muchos van a tener la oportunidad de leer.” Procuremos ser fieles al original.
La primera lectura la hemos tomado del profeta Ezequiel. Les hablaba a los suyos de la responsabilidad que a todos nos incumbe a la hora de adoptar un determinado comportamiento. De nosotros depende que nos apartemos del camino correcto o que volvamos a él. La tentación nos puede llevar a dejar de obrar el bien pero el arrepentimiento nos lleva a recuperar la amistad con el Señor. No olvidemos acercarnos, de vez en cuando, al sacramento de la confesión.
La segunda lectura, de San Pablo a los cristianos de Filipos, recoge un ruego del apóstol: “Manteneos unánimes y concordes con un mismo amor y un mismo sentir”. Si cada cual hiciera un pequeño examen de conciencia ¿podríamos decir que cumplimos con el deseo expresado por el apóstol? ¿Nos esforzamos por llevarnos bien y por buscar todos, lo primero de todo, el interés de los demás?
El relato del evangelio nos ha contado una parábola de Jesús que se resume en una pregunta: ¿Quién cumple realmente la voluntad de Dios, el que le dice que sí pero no la lleva a cabo o, el que comienza diciendo que no, pero al final hace lo que Dios quiere? La respuesta es clara. Cumplamos nosotros esa voluntad de Dios con obras y de verdad.
