HOMILÍA
Hemos escuchado las lecturas propias del domingo veintiséis del tiempo ordinario. Un domingo en el que, como Iglesia, celebramos la Jornada Mundial del Migrante y del Refugiado con un lema muy sugerente: “Hacia un nosotros cada vez más grande.” Nadie ha de ser extraño o indiferente. Todos estamos llamados a fundirnos en un “nosotros” en el que nos sintamos hermanos, en el que nos ayudemos, en el que nos importemos, en el que nos fijemos más en lo que nos une.
La primera lectura la hemos tomado del libro de los Números. El Señor se hace presente en las vida y en las personas de los creyentes pero también en las de aquellos que él quiere, porque su voluntad no está limitada por la pertenencia o no a una determinada comunidad. Veamos la mano de Dios en tantas personas buenas que, sin compartir nuestra fe y nuestra vivencia religiosa saben, sin embargo, buscar el bien de sus semejantes y unirse a nosotros en la búsqueda de lo bueno y de lo justo.
La segunda lectura, una semana más del Apóstol Santiago, ha hecho una dura crítica de todos aquellos que, viviendo en la riqueza y en la abundancia, hacen daño a sus prójimos más necesitados, abusan de su poder, no pagan el jornal de los que han trabajado para ellos. Es esta una llamada a ser justos, haciendo nuestra la suerte de los más pobres, de los más desfavorecidos de la sociedad. Ellos son nuestros hermanos.
El relato del evangelio de Marcos nos ha recordado, como la primera lectura, que hay muchas personas buenas que, sin ser creyentes, hacen el bien. La bondad no es patrimonio exclusivo de los que nos decimos creyentes. El sencillo gesto de un simple vaso de agua que demos no quedará sin recompensa. Debemos tener cuidado también de no escandalizar a nadie con nuestra conducta y de prescindir de todo aquello que nos impida un día alcanzar la salvación.
